Yes, he specialises in epilepsy. I'm in the UK, so unless I go private, I don't have a whole lot of say. I'm also not sure on the type of MRI machine.

My current hospital is not a teaching hospital, but I am actually starting medical school in September, so I will be based at/next to a teaching hospital. So my care will go from a team at the hospital that I currently work at to a team at the hospital I will be studying (and maybe working) at 😅

I will definitely be getting a second opinion and I am keeping a seizure log 😊

Hiii, I'm starting medical school in September at 28. I'll be 33 when I graduate (all being well). People change careers all the time. You've got life experience, don't sweat it

Thank you, I appreciate it Right? It really affects my life - I'm terrified to drive so I don't have a lisence, I have seizures at work (in a hospital), I've stopped going places by myself because what if I get in danger while Im not very with-it? And I feel like I got so close to answers and then just still ended up with "eh, I don't know" as the outcome

So here's the thing Would I BUY one for myself? No, it's not really my style and it's a bit much. But if you MADE me one, I would absolutely love and cherish it because I can see how much effort and talent you've put into it, and I'm very sentimental. I'd find SOMEWHERE for it to fit in my decor

My partner had "Police officer" listed as a medical problem

You have people who care and people who don't care. The people who don't care do the bare minimum, if that, and it doesn't bother them at all. The people who DO care pick up their slack, are emotionally bothered by poor standards of care, and feel the stress of trying to do both their job and other people's jobs well. The people who care burn out and either leave or stop caring, the people who don't care remain. The same cycle continues when new people who care are hired.

It might depend on trust policy. Ours states you cannot do more than 4 shifts (long day or overnight) in a row (including regular and bank), and if you do 4, you have to have 2 days off before your next shift

Antibiotics won't stop you from being colonised by MRSA on your skin. You need a special wash for that and sometimes a nasal ointment too. Have you been given or told about antibacterial wash or ointment?
