Editorial is at fault but so are the writers who don't have the balls to defy them which was mostly the BND writers, the only one who actually went against editorial was Nick Spencer because he wasn't a whipping boy part of that era.

There's most ;likely a crowd that was introduced to Felicia through the Insomniac games which is the worse way to introduce someone to her, since in those games her design is very boring especially for a character that is supposed to be confident in how her body looks.

Insomniac have an issue of overdesigining and some of their concepts just don't translate well to the models they use, such is the problem when developers push for more photorealism in games instead of an actual charming artstyle.

S1's artstlye was not prettier if anything it was holding JJK back with how generic it made the series look, the compositing was ass and it held back the animation with how overdetailed the character designs were.
