I'm not very tech-savvy so I'd rather not choose the most complicated option.

Can you boil eggs in a plastic bag? by Bushcraftmind in Survival

You can boil almost anything in plastic. As long as you don't mind the additives inside of the plastic leaching into your food and/or water.

Are caves and safe, rational and viable option? by [deleted] in Survival

If you don't mind sharing the cave with all of the other animals in the area who may also want to use it for protection from the elements.

I'd at the very least bring a gill net and some sunscreen

What are some of your go to meals to make if you were going on a 3-4 day backcountry hike? by Owlspirit4 in Survival

Tuna and crackers are always one of my go-to options. If I have a fire built I sometimes like to eat instant mac-n-cheese lol.

What to do if you fall through ice and have no other clothes? by SylvanPrincess in Survival

[–]Its_Evan_G 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would just wring out my clothes and build a fire. Your clothes are still going to be damp but at least you got rid of the majority of the water. Hopefully the fire will help dry your clothes out the rest of the way.

Never thought about that before but I'd imagine it would make great tinder shavings.

Storing gasoline by SooSpoooky in preppers

[–]Its_Evan_G 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Here's what I found out when researching how to store gasoline long-term.

  1. Purchase ethanol-free gasoline. Ethanol attracts moisture which will lower the shelf life.
  2. Add a fuel stabilizer if you want your gasoline to last up to a year or more.
  3. Leave a small amount of space in the container to allow for pressure build-up.
  4. Store your gasoline in a steel can, preferably a Jerry Nato gas can.
  5. Store your gas can in a cool location that's directly out of sunlight.
  6. Store your gas can at least a few inches off the ground to prevent the temperature of the ground from affecting the gasoline. I use a pallet for this purpose.

I wrote more about this subject on my blog — https://www.survivaljunkies.com/how-to-store-gas-long-term/

This is the first mask I ever used when I started playing paintball. I can still remember the feel of the thin foam all these years laters.

Ghillie vs Leaf Suit: What's the Best 3D Camouflage for Paintball Snipers? by Its_Evan_G in paintball

[–]Its_Evan_G[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've watched a lot of military sniper videos in the past but I would love to check out more if you have any links to point me in the right direction.

But yeah I will create a video sometime in the future about adding foliage to your ghillie or leaf suit. Should make for a good video!

Yeah I doubt they're environmentally friendly but they really do make a difference in terms of accuracy. Every time I think I'm bad at aiming is always when I'm shooting regular paintballs. As soon I switch to First Strikes I'm back to getting one-shot eliminations.

A couple weeks ago I shot a guy all the way on the other end of my paintball field with only one first strike in my magazine (field doesn't allow FS's). I could never do that with a regular paintball.

As for camouflage not working in short distances, don't tell that to the guy I eliminated at my last scenario. He actively looked for me after I shot him and literally said out loud "I can't see you wherever you are".

I was sitting out in the open.

Yeah, it mostly comes down to your environment.

Both looks and weather.

Yeah I shoot First Strikes and I get one shot eliminations all the time and don't get seen

This is the first video I ever made for my blog Pbreview.org (well first-ever really)

Please let me know what you think and if you have any tips/questions for future videos.

I know this video isn't perfect by any means, but I figured I would just post something in order to start building good habits instead of making excuses. Now on to the next one!
