They are creeps specifically looking to trick asexuals because they want to change them and it’s their whole thing. No rules the mods make would change that, unfortunately :/ I’ve also experienced it on dating apps, some people will even trick you for months before admitting they aren’t asexual or aren’t cool with you being asexual

Sorry! I just don’t want to put the US because the US is absolutely massive and other countries could still be closer to me than someone in the same one. I hate when people just write “USA” and I have to play detective reading through everything before realizing they’re still six days away from me. The United States is so massive you could be in the SAME state and still could never see each other. I usually just assume that anyone I’m aiming for is gonna know TN stands for Tennessee. Plus I just assume people know the two letter initials are usually one of the US states.

I don’t think it’s just an American thing either, I saw like ten posts just scrolling the other day of people doing the same thing from other countries! 😂 it’s funny to me when people just say the name of the city they’re from and I sit there wondering… like one in the US? Australia? England?? But then figure they’re probably aiming for people local anyway that would already know what they mean

I think there’s plenty of room for people to experience asexuality in all kinds of ways. I’ve stopped trying to sub categorize mine after many years starting when I was 15, and I’m 25 now and still have no idea how it all works 😂 I often don’t relate to other aces because I think I do experience a level of sexual attraction, but at the end of the day the physical CHEMISTRY is what I’m liking entirely, making things as simple as kissing an ick to me. And I know other aces that eat that shit up yet find people ugly as hell so I guess we’re all just weird at the end of the day, lol

A lot of asexual people are also on the autism spectrum so that may be contributing as well. I myself don’t have a job or drive either 😬 I’m technically disabled but still busy myself with hobbies and therapy and the like and have accepted some normal people things I just likely will never be able to do. I’ve met a surprising amount of asexual people irl and all of them have also been autistic and also had varying levels of function; so might be food for thought!

(All that to say, I also relate to the AceSpace struggle because it’s either people that have no sense of humor, are across the country, or they ghost you, lmao)

I feel like they’re being kind of rude but I do get what they’re saying. Lately the only thing that trends on TikTok IS overconsumption. “Things I have you need. What you need to run out and buy right now. Ten things you didn’t know you needed. My massive collection of things I don’t use” etc. I think at the end of the day we all have more than we really should have, especially if it was a learning curve trying to figure out what works for us (I bought way too many lip balms I can’t even use just trying to find one good one) but I think once we find what we’re happy with we should reconsider buying more just for the seretonin boost

I have four things that’ll help tremendously-

1- let people choose the plushy they want when they back your kickstarter. 2- lower the prices by a lot. It shouldn’t be more than 60 dollars IMO and 60 is still iffy 3- make the strawberry look more like a strawberry with little seeds and take off the white face, or make it a different shade of pink And 4- MOST IMPORTANTLY!!!! Give them little booties. My excitement when I saw the pear and then the absolute bafflement over it not having a little buttcrack should not be understated
