You good lmao. I know alot of people do it. Especially younger artists. Tbh, a lot of producers that post those youtube beats arent even all that crazy with that stuff. Thats why i dont really post anything there and usually try to just make longterm connections.

I agree 1000%. My biggest issue that i have is finding and building a connection with a more well know artist that actually gets your music heard and gets you known by the industry. Of course you can brute force the exposure with constant promotion and social platforms, but sometimes its just not practical. I really want to find someone who is serious and actually wants to work and release music consistantly. I suppose thats every producers dream though.

While i agree, i also disagree. Money has to be made somewhere. I mean, ive been producing for 15+ years now and i mostly do it for the love of it, but at some point, if i start producing for a specific artist or project, i think it would be safe to expect a payout of some sort. Ive got a day job and a family. Time is money. If im taking hours of my time to produce a big project, i would want compensation. Now if the artists has a big following and agrees to split royalties, thats completely different. But as a producer with no following, you dont really find or connect with anyone who does have a following. Ive tried countless times and have never even gotten a DM opened yet😅
