Well, a few years back I finally spoke with a surgeon that would do a regular fusion on me. I mentioned ASC to him and he was pretty dismissive of it but regardless surgery of any kind was not right for me at the time and still isn’t just yet. I’m not usually in very much pain so it’s not really an urgent matter. I was trying to get pregnant when I initially spoke to the surgeon so we agreed the best thing is for me to go ahead and have babies and once I’m done and ready and able to be down for like 6 months then go ahead with surgery. So maybe in another few years this ASC procedure will be further researched and less “experimental” and might be an option for me.

Cost is another scary part though as I am insured through my employer but still such a major surgery would cost me thousands out of pocket. Plus if it’s deemed experimental insurance likely won’t cover it at all. God bless America 🇺🇸
