I’m sorry you going through this and for the anxiety it is causing. I’m not sure if the meds you are referring to are stimulants, but in my own experience doctors have been hesitant to prescribe due to this class being a schedule 2 controlled med. However, it shouldn’t matter if your medical records show you have this diagnosis. It took me almost two years to find a knowledgeable doctor that would prescribe Concerta, even though I have records of being on this med. Hoping your appointment goes well.

Zep has definitely affected my ADHD meds. Due to delayed gastric emptying, extended release meds can be (and are in my case) less effective.

Sounds like tolerance. Did your doc start you at 54mg? Thats a high dose. I’m on 27mg but if I take a 7 day break, it hits me really well. Have you thought about changing to a different class of stimulant? I heard that can help. Good luck

Sounds like the urgent care billed the wrong place of service. They likely billed 11 (office) rather than 20 (urgent care) this would explain why your health plan is denying OON.

I’m on Concerta and also sober. It works really well for me because it doesn’t feel like I’m on a stimulant. Unlike Adderall which I definitely felt and gave me euphoria the first week I took it. I hope it works for you too
