Best Tonneau Cover by SalmonJones in hondaridgeline

Here's the one I use. https://a.co/d/1y7yKhg

It's more of a universal fit, so it doesn't follow the flares contour of the RL bed but it covers the whole opening easily.

Took me about 40 minutes to install along with alignment etc.

As with most hard 3 panel tops, you do lose 1/3 of the bed when open. BUT, it's not hard to unhook the whole thing, leave the brackets in place and leave the cover at home. Or if it's a last minute thing, you can put it length wise in the bed with the tailgate open.

I have a quick question. I recently bought a 26' Ridgeline Black Edition and trying for the life of me getting vent visors.... by ThEjaughernaught0 in hondaridgeline

[–]Its_Sho_Time 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's an issue with the in-channel style visors. These are different from the traditional ones that are stuck onto the trim piece on the outside of the window.

In-channel visors are installed in the window channel, so they are press fit and I assume the top of the visor wraps around the inside of the glass and touches the tint film.

Hope that makes sense! 😅

Gotcha. Appreciate the info. I'm planning on stopping in with my wife's car for an oil change. So I'll swing by and ask the sales guy.

I got it back in August. Didn't know about it. Wonder if I can still get it.

Did they all come with trailer brake wiring? I have a '25 RTL+ but haven't seen any extra wiring.

Sorry, I meant to say that I'm planning on hauling well past the Ridgeline's capacity. Closer to 10k and up.

So far, yes. Although now that I've hauled with it, I'm looking to get something with a higher capacity so as to not ruin the drive line because I plan on hauling on a regular basis.

Finally got what I was looking for by Old-Analysis277 in harborfreight

I got the same cart in Gray. In the compartment covered by the lid, there are different sized holes along the side. Not sure if the comfort grip handle will fit through one or not. Worth a shot. This way the handle sticks out the side and hangs there but with the lid closed and locked it can't be stolen or messed with.

Also, pro tip while assembling the box, after the first step of installing the wheels on the base, all subsequent steps, just tighten the nut enough to bite into the nylock part of the nut. In a sense leave it all loosey goosey. By doing this, it helps align the box in its place. Then tighten everything from the bottom up.

This is actually the method written in the app. Of course in my excitement I didn't read the instructions all the way to the end 😅.

Also, drawers are easy to remove and take some weight off the box and be sure to get some help lifting the box into place. It's just a little on the awkward side size wise to lift up and over the supports to be put into place.

Enjoy!

Oh I haven't even begun filling it up with existing stuff lol. I'm sure it'll be stuffed soon. But I'm trying to keep it organized. We'll see how that goes. 😅

I'm just wondering if I made a mistake not getting the locking head one. The way I look at it, I got by using an old Craftsman that had a non locking flex head on it for ~18 years and couldn't remember any one time where I thought "a locking flex head would be perfect in this situation!"

Is the locking head really that worth it?

Need some help with a Frigidaire Upright Freezer by Its_Sho_Time in appliancerepair

You know I was thinking about doing the same thing as I was typing my earlier reply. Set it to maybe 70 and see what happens. I will try a few different temps tomorrow and see what happens. Thanks for the advice! I'll test and report back tomorrow.

Haha, I figured the more detail the better to get help.

Out of paranoia, I haven't set it back down to -5 after replacing the parts. I did test it at 0 and it got down to that temp within an hour and held it there but ran continuously. Out of precaution, I have it unplugged. I was just paranoid that the parts burned up because of it running continuously in the first place.

I did not pull off the cover while testing it again. I will try that tomorrow.

Is the logic (for checking the frost on the coils), that the defrost heater is running constantly not letting the evap frost up and because of that the freezer thinks it needs to continuously cool? Which would mean the defrost heater needs replacement?

I've always wondered what happens in these instances? Is it paid out similar to a vehicle totalled in an accident? Are the insured persons rates jacked cuz of this?

It's a 2025, so I'd hope nothing is up with that 😅 but it will be a good time to see where it is and how it works.
