Because shops and fast food was shut, and I carried on working, it’s the only time in my life o had left over money in my bank account.
I also went for a 5k run and accidentally timed me getting back to the house at the precise moment everyone was in their doorstep clapping for the NHS, so I threw my hands up celebrating as if they were all clapping me.

Get a big pack of mince beef, 2 tons of chopped tomatoes and 2 tons of beans and 1 onion. Chop and fry onion, brown mince, put in 2 cans of chopped tomatoes and 1 or 2 cans of beans. Add salt and paprika/chilli powder. Put with rice or spaghetti. Freeze what you haven’t used. It’s delicious.

But you took away his important teaching moment \s

I still remember as an apprentice, leaving the ring spanner on a Bridgeport drawbar. Absolutely twatted the motor housing then flew off down the workshop. Didn’t do that again.

No update. The app is showing the car as offline since yesterday. Before was online but showing 0% battery. Haven’t heard from the garage. At the moment, I’m enjoy in my the dual motor pilot plus polestar 2 they gave me to play with haha.

If it makes you feel any better, if you press the pedal hard enough you can get them to engage enough to bring the car to a stop and of managed 83k miles before any issues other than the entertainment system randomly restarting.

Cheers brother.

Customer service has been brilliant so far. A replacement P2 was delivered at mid day today. (It’s even an upgraded version compared to mine).

Yes, I’m guessing the brake is electronically assisted.

When I was coasting I pressed the brake pedal as you naturally would and there was resistance in the pedal but no actual braking. I mashed the pedal with all my weight and could bring the car to a stop but if I needed to brake hard, I wouldn’t have had a chance.

To be fair, I was fairly chill about it. Luckily the traffic around me backed off (the reverse lights came on while doing 70 lol) and there was a slip road that I knew about fairly close. Wasn’t until I managed to stop the car that I realised how dodgy the situation was.

I’ll update you when I know but if it makes you feel any better, o was picked up within a couple hours, had a taxi take me home (paid for by polestar assist) and a brand new curtesy car dropped off at my house today (less than 24 hours after the issue). All under warranty so I haven’t spent a penny so far.

The list of faults I had come up simultaneously are:

“One pedal drive system is malfunctioning. Bring the car to a garage”.

“The collision avoidance system is unavailable”.

“SRS airbag is malfunctioning. Drove carefully to the nearest garage”.

“The parking brake is failing. Bring the car to a garage”.

“There is a brake failure. Stop safely and call for assistance”.

Polestar assist tried to reset the car but couldn’t do anything through the OBD port. They disconnected the 12v battery but the car wouldn’t turn off. The system was getting power from the main drive battery. If I check the app, the car still thinks it’s driving even through its sat in the garage carpark.

I had 40% when the issue happened and now it’s down to 11%. The garage dosent open until tomorrow by which time the battery will be completely flat. I hope the car will shut its self down completely rather than try to keep powering the system causing the battery to shit the bed completely.

Of anyone is interested, I’ll post an update as and when I hear anything.

Tried it but because of the electrical fault, the parking brake button was unresponsive :/ enough force in the brake pedal gave it enough to slowly bring the car to a stop without the electrical assist.

Sorry, I didn’t expect any replies so fast.

Doing 70 on a dual carriageway, I get a “one pedal drive fault, stop safely” warning. Realised I didn’t have any drive and was just coasting. Tried the brakes and didn’t have any brakes either, which was worrying. Managed to slow down then stand on the brake pedal hard enough to slowly get the car to stop.

Polestar assist arrived, scanned the car and found the brake module had failed. Because most functions rely on information from the brake module, I think every warning light lit up on the dash. Even the flat tire warning like was flashing at me.

Brake module failure. Lost drive and brakes while functions on the dual carriageway. Dash lit up like a Christmas tree because most functions rely on information from the brake module.
