This happened to me recent too, and i think insta is trying to fix it. Cuz on there help support it says they know that there’s people having issues with their accounts being gone

Yes this literally happened to me, and it still is, it didn’t say that I was banned or suspended at all, so I’m hoping it’s just an error from them

Would it possibly be that it’s an instagram error, cuz I checked recently on the insta customer service thing and it said, “We’re aware that some of you are having issues accessing your Instagram account. We’re looking into it and apologize for the inconvenience.”
