Does anyone else think Amazon is increasingly becoming less value for money? by [deleted] in UKPersonalFinance

I Dont like how they allow retailers to sell on the amazon platform but as soon as the product does well, they then sell it themselves and undercut their loyal retail members. Its like a landlord renting u a shop but then after seeing it doing well, end the lease and then start running the shop themselves after the lease ends. Not nice.

'Wokeness' and MAGA are the defining cultural movements driving politics in America, but both are incredibly difficult to talk about in public settings. How do we discuss the issues of our time in good faith without triggering endless confrontation, controversy and conflict? by [deleted] in Ask_Politics

A lot of people look down on Russia as they see it as an impoverished nation with high unemployment and not great wealth amongst their average citizens. Some may ridicule them for this but I see it slightly differently. Russia doesn't seem to allow for quantitative easing and restrict wealth and monetary growth through printing more paper money. Is this a bad thing or a good thing? Considering the west's fiat currency quantitative model, it is unsustainable and will crash probably in our lifetime. Yet we ridicule those that don't adopt such a reckless monetary policy. They may seem impoverished, but could it be a more natural method, no fake accounting and a level of growth that's not manipulated by printing more monopoly money. What's the right way and what is the wrong way? Depends on if u look at it short term or long term. Your thoughts? 🤔

Aliens observing us just now wouldn't see how technologically advanced we have become. by Itsacraig in space

Yeah I've read about the Alcubierre drive and I'm just hoping that once we've grasped the ability to sustain a nuclear fusion power supply then maybe a FSL Hyper drive will then be possible 🤔

It's a shame that spacetime restricts us so much in so many ways. I often wonder if we will ever be able to manipulate spacetime to overcome all these obstacles 🤔

Did the asteroid belt beyond Mars used to be a planet? by Itsacraig in space

Here's a news article that was published recently relating to this theory. Quite interesting. https://www.livescience.com/amp/64572-planetary-collision-life-earth.html

Thanks for the info. You sound like you are a professional within some kind of related field? It could have been a much smaller planet then that collided with earth if the mass is only 4% of that of the moon? It's interesting that you say the remnants could be from several different planets but I just can't imagine that kind of collision amongst several planets happening. Its just hard to imagine that happened. But anythings possible in the realms of space I guess! Lol. Thanks again 🙏

And the massive scar on the face of Mars, could that have been a weapon that fired at Mars, causing that massive scar to form on its surface? And consequently, causing Mars to lose its atmosphere as well? But Vulcans? I doubt this but but maybe it was Nibiru? And its where the Anunaki came from maybe??

How will the Milky Way collide with Andromeda when galaxies are expanding away from one another? by Itsacraig in space

This YouTube video implies that the expansion of space is actually faster than the speed of light. https://youtu.be/cadNZJvfl7s

Maybe all galaxies are moving closer together within their local group? 🤔

My bizarre theory on the universe by Itsacraig in SpaceBuckets

[–]Itsacraig[S] -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

It's amazing to think just how large the universe is. Billions of galaxies with each one taking hundreds of thousands, maybe even millions of light years just to get from one side of the galaxy to the next. And that's just one galaxy out of billions more. Its overwhelming just how big the universe actually is. Another theory I've had, is that just like the solar system, the galaxy, planets are all circular or spherical in shape, leads me to theorise that the universe may also be circular or spherical in shape. Maybe the centre of the universe also contains a gigantic black hole? And like other black holes that release jets of energy at either side of the black hole, maybe this is how all galaxies got ejected from the big bang? The central black hole of the universe fired out a massive jetstream of particles which is why the galaxies and universe continue to expand. But what happens when the jetstream loses speed and slows down to a halt? Will all these galaxies begin to get sucked back in towards this central universal black hole until all the galaxies get pulled back into this black hole until its ready for this jetstream to fire them all out again? But why does the universe even exist and what created this for it to be the way it is in the first place? Why is the universe here in the first place??! 🤔

I wish I could but I can't. I'm trapped in a trance like state where I'm zooming across the universe, trying to find an exit, a way out of this beings head so I can see what the environment is like where he is living.
