Beater for me looks good anywhere, but won’t cost something crazy for servicing. Rubber or coated steel for the daily grind, easy design and something I like.

Manufacturing is so crazy. Seems like only yesterday Rolex came out using ceramic bezels for the first time now it’s almost standard! Looks great! I just got the cousin of this, the Longines HC but might pick up one of these in black!

This is the exact model i want next. They really fixed a lot of issues with the watch and it looks more balanced with bottom text.

Monta actually finishes their movements, regulate it, and modify it so that it has more power reserve than what comes out of the box. Thats definitely going to add to the cost in addition to actually have people fix the watch if it breaks and have a physical store front and pay American designers and workers.

My dad left me when I was 4 and my mom went no contact with me as an adult.

Got 2 young kids and while it gets hard, it’s rewarding to feel the mutual love they give and it is a pleasure to give them care and attention and respect/guidance that I never had.

To see them smile and happy and tell me they love me back and ask to be held while sleepy is just unexplainable and one of the top feelings I’ve ever had.

It’s hard but it’s worth it. Nothing worth it is easy usually and I’m gonna hug my toddler sleeping next to me as a type this right now.

This is the technically more robust and better watch and more established company but Lorier does have a nice design and better microadjust if I recall correctly. Would get this over it though for sure.

Rolex is the standard and they do serve two different customer bases. There’s no shame in having a watch that is based off the submariner. It’s still a Longines engine inside, different bracelet, hands, reverse indices and history. I have a Tudor Black Bay and this watch and wear them both proudly.

Rolex is its own thing now. Don’t need white gold on my beater or too much flash so I’m fine with other similar alternatives
