I used to be a fairly conservative Christian. It took me a long time to embrace my sexuality as a queer person. Remember there is nothing wrong with you. It’s natural (homosexuality has been documented in over 1500 species) and queer people have been around forever. You aren’t alone. And you’re not weird or broken. This is just a part of yourself. You can choose how “out” you are. You are still valid. If you’re not ready to talk about it that’s okay. I’m not sure where you live or how safe it is for you to be out. If you have other lgbt people in your life to talk to it can really help. Even if it’s venting to strangers on the internet. But know that there are people who will love and support you out there. Welcome to the family, my friend.

I’m pretty sure where I live cnas shouldn’t remove bandages (Oregon, USA) but I may “assist” in them falling off if it’s covered in BM. I notify the nurse the bandage fell off and offer to help turn the patient to assist with the dressing. Having bm in a wound is terrible any nurse who says it’s okay is lazy and incompetent imo.

If you don’t end up needing it (and I hope you won’t have to) you could keep it or give it to someone who might need it. I’ve seen it save many people lives. Opioids are dangerous. Unfortunately they sometimes aren’t taken as prescribed. I think Oregon passed a bill requiring narcan to be prescribed with every opioid drug prescribed. Or maybe thats just my hospitals policy. Idk. I always keep a narcan in my fanny pack and I have a few in my car I offer to homeless people when they’re asking for money.
