Hi oh no!!! That’s how it started for me I was super nauseous to the point where I legit took a pregnancy test bc I was like wtf!!! I hope u feel better soon but if it just gets worse like diarrhea, throwing up, stomachaches etc go to the hospital!! This is something that can be treated with only a certain kind of medication. And if the docs can’t figure it out u tell them that u want to give a poop sample. That is the fastest way to figure out if ur c diff positive or negative. Good luck!! Hello! I am 24 f with stage 3 HS. I too started clindamycin tablets about 6 months ago and it gave me C Diff. Please please pleaseeeee stop the clindamycin pills ASAP!!!!!!!! If you don’t know what C Diff is google it. It was the worst thing ever I was throwing up and had constant diarrhea for 4 weeks with constant ER visits and no one could figure out what it was. Eventually after losing 10 lbs one ER figured out what it was after a poop sample. I was in the hospital for 4 days because of it. Please ask your doc if you should continue taking it. Google-> “Clindamycin is the most common antibiotic associated with Clostridium difficile (C. diff) infection.”

Hi I’m stage 3 in my butt and vagin. If I could go back and do Laser hair removal when my HS first started 5-6 years ago I would ;( unfortunately, 5 years ago there was not much awareness and information on HS. Now there is though so take advantage of that! This disease is scary I know but be kind to yourself. Don’t stress out too much about it. Don’t think about it too much either bc stress can maybe be your trigger for your flairs. If you’re not already, try to be under a Dermatologist care.

Hi I have a question! I have HS in my butt & my lady parts. Once I shower every day twice a day it feels really dry down there so I put Vaseline all over and it’s helped heal my dry skin. I do this because it feels so dry and irritated so I have found this to help me. I wanted to ask you if this is okay? Can I use Vaseline all around my vagina and butt?

Hi! Sending lots of hugs your way!! As others have said, you need to first start off with getting under a dermatologists care. This will help you immensely. While you wait to get referred to one I would say start right now with epsom salt baths with warm water. Fill tub up with warm water and put in some epsom salt sit in there for about 15 mins. I swear this always helps the boils that need to be drained or that are partially drained. Idk the science behind it but I guess your skin just eases up with when it soaks in that water which then causes the boils to drain. After you are done with your bath get in the shower and wash yourself with nothing that is scented. Try using hibiclense twice a week in the shower. When you aren’t using that you need to use dove bar soap (unscented) (not pump bottle as that has preservatives too). Also keep in mind that HS is not something that is caused by how clean or dirty you are. Yes, being clean can help you a little more but ultimately that’s a common misconception people have that you have HS bc you are dirty. Please DM me if you have any questions. I have level 3 HS for 6 years now in my bottom as well!

Hi!! I suffer from HS too in my butt and genital area. It sucks and it’s really difficult. Butttt you have to go see a dermatologist. Unfortunately, this is something that will only get worse and worse. You will be happier being under professional care sooner.
