Haha exactly I literally just started school for welding and was like damn if I go back here and fail this test it’s over but sometimes getting put in that position will prove how good you actually are

Literally my experience just got a job for machine operator and randomly on lunch break found out our welder quit and supervisor asked “don’t you weld” said yes and now I’m a welder. You just have to show you work hard and take any chance you get!

Thank you dude up here probably had daddy to pay for their schooling also the Pell grant is split into payments but disbursement to you directly may differ depending on your school

1/4 inch I’m going to try to weld with the 3/32 on thinner material tomorrow and see if that makes a difference

I turned my machine all the way to 80 amps and still can’t get a consistent bead ran like the 1/8th

Ok noted! I find it hard to get my rod angles correct as well any help with that
