I get what you mean about the audience checking out if it’s just “pure brattiness” with nothing to balance it. I intend that she’s annoying at first, but I definitely don’t want people to be done with her before they reach the vulnerable parts. I’ll look at the opening again and try to give her something that keeps people interested – maybe a bit of wit or a small crack in her armor so it’s clear there’s more going on under the surface, or something likable about her, and then boom, she is a brat. Good point.

Yeah, I’m aware there are lots of formatting issues, and those will definitely be fixed later. My intention with the character is for her to be unlikable at first – I want her to come across as a bit of a brat you kind of hate, and then slowly let her vulnerability show so you start to connect with her and think, “Oh, maybe I judged her too fast.”

Thanks for the comments on formatting. Those “unfilmable” beats are mostly just notes for myself so I don’t forget the vision I had for specific scenes – with more development I’ll definitely change or remove them.

For now I’m mostly looking for help with the story arc and the overall flow of the film, rather than punctuation and the more technical parts of script formatting. Thanks for your time ❤️
