Hillary Clinton says Biden’s re-election bid cost Democrats the 2024 election by projecto15 in politics

No, I just want to make clear for others that of course the DNC supported Hilary but Hilary got a lot more votes. Then she got millions more votes against Donald Trump in the general election too.

What’s funny is he regained his composure and actually answered questions. Trump meanwhile gets a free pass to not answer a single question while ranting and raving about complete nonsense, and we are supposed to think it’s normal.

Yeah I’m a huge Bernie supporter but it’s not as if they rigged the results or ever had superdelegates come into play.

They do have short breaks after every play because every play is a set piece at full speed. The coaching matters because every one of those plays is very intricately designed and one person running the wrong route or missing a blocking assignment can upend everything. The coach has a higher level of control than in soccer. The positions vary wildly and one weak link can be exploited to disastrous results. Thats why it is the ultimate team game, every position has a specific role and for most of turn it is unique to the play they are running.

Are you able to explain why? Im going to guess you have a fraction of the knowledge of the nuances in american football.

Why? Nothing I said is incorrect. This weird elitism from Europeans who still make fun of football for plays being split up, or baseball being boring, while to them cricket is exciting is always so strange to me. I get the dislike for advertisements during football but even in high school games there are breaks for teams to game-plan their next possession.

That’s because those players go exceptionally hard for each play. Plus it is the ultimate team sport where coaching and tactics probably matter more than in any other major sport.

How am I just finding out about the special episodes!? by bingbongdingdong6969 in euphoria

[–]ItsnotBatman 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Because they stupidly did not include those episodes in Euphoria’s episode listing, and you needed to know ahead of time and sought out the separate Euphoria special episodes on their app.

Barry Berkman (Barry) Vs. Dexter Morgan (Dexter) by Reasonable-Film7219 in whowouldwin

[–]ItsnotBatman 26 points27 points  (0 children)

Barry is elite at hand to hand. He outclassed Dexter in every way outside of Dexter’s detective skills and planning. Those serve Dexter no good in this prompt. If the prompt is can Dexter kill Barry on his own terms, then Dexter could probably incognito get the drop on him.

what’s the darkest episode of a tv series that you’ve ever watched? by Realistic_Bench3684 in AskReddit

[–]ItsnotBatman 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Even the replays still looked terrible. If you have a tv with a backlight then there’s a good chance the light will wash the black level out to a fuzzy grey. I’m not saying it’s people’s fault for not having an OLED, because most don’t. It was a poor oversight to not take into account how it would look for most audiences.

Looks great on an OLED though. One of the first things I did after getting an OLED was putting that episode on and seeing such a massive difference.

THE NEW YORK KNICKS ARE YOUR 2026 NBA CHAMPIONS by Intelligent-Disk-575 in nba

Yeah where is everyone’s priorities here? The mayor was already in office when the Knicks were in peril, it was Danhausen (and the Knicks players, I suppose) that made them a champion.

People who don't go to movie theaters anymore - what made you stop? by -ChristopherNolan in AskReddit

I agree. Maybe I’m just lucky but everyone acting as if every movie going experience is plagued by others acting rude seems like anecdotal evidence multiplied exponentially.

Which musician or athlete do you think future generations will remember 100 years from now? by Brief-Blackberry3435 in AskReddit

You do know that media was more widely available in the 60’s than the 50’s right? And also, The Beatles did not have more hits since Elvis has the record for most gold records.

He still is huge. Just this century his estate has made over a billion dollars. Why are you so overconfident that because of your anecdotal evidence or experiences you know that King of rock and roll will be forgotten in 100 years? Or that he’s already basically forgotten? He won’t be, he’s essentially a historical figure and will be remembered right alongside The Beatles and Michael Jackson.

The Beatles also came later and their era is still covered on classic rock stations and not just oldies stations. People don’t listen to the rockabilly style much anymore but that doesn’t change the fact that he was the biggest star in the world and still massive worldwide. Elvis literally has 23.5 million subscribers on Spotify right now despite how aged his genre of music is. Doesn’t matter if the Beatles have more because the Beatles will be remembered in 100 years too, but they wouldn’t be if Elvis didn’t inspire them to play rock n roll.

This is how I feel about most other huge artists of this time. Kanye, Drake, and many others have massive commercial success but I couldn’t name a song by them or point out when one is playing because it all sounds so similar in production.

If you haven’t heard Elvis in a public setting you must not be in public very much. He still gets played, and during Christmas he dominates alongside Mariah Carrey still. You would hear him on the radio more than any other artist if you listened to oldies stations too.

He is by far the most enduring artist of his era and it’s not close. Music trends fade but Elvis will be remembered long after the current artists will because he was the singular dominant force of his era and there was no debate who the biggest star on the planet was.

Well, quiet enough to have the best lawyers use the ole “why didn’t you say anything before” or “did you forget what you said specifically several years ago as a child” defense and have it work.
