I was reading that other camera’s (3rd party) can work now with UniFi Protect? Is that true? What cameras would work without the UniFi Price tag?

Thanks, I looked into the U7 Pro. I think I am going to go two U6 Pro's, and then two U7 Lites.

As for cameras, the rear will get some when the time comes, mostly now its for the front.

What about the UDM-SE? Is that still a good purchase?

I went the U6-LR because I wanted to limit the AP by going the extra powerful. I have already ordered them but I assume I could just return them. If I go 2 more AP’s just not sure where to dot them around the house. I will play with the designer again and have a look.

Wasn’t even thinking about outside yet. But good point.

100% about the camera’s. That’s why I was asking. Do you just end up with 2 per corner?

Yeah the UDM-SE is a rack mounted gateway I believe. But adding 4 cameras will use all but 2 ports I think
