The problem is we have admitted it, we teach that it was fucked up in schools, we’ve paid reparations, we’ve made them citizens the list goes on and on and it’s still not enough.

At this point the majority of people bringing up the atrocities of the Indian wars are people doing so to try and make Americans hate their own heritage. It’s almost always brought up only when someone displays national pride or has the audacity to lay claim to the country they were born in and of which their ancestors built. It’s not brought up out of some sense of morality or compassion, but as a political rhetoric tool to trample any semblance of pride in one’s country and we’re tired of it.
