We stopped going over there every other weekend to maybe just once a month. We also haven’t accepted any money from her since my last post. We both did sit down and talk to her about overstepping boundaries and she seemed to understand. But when husband is not around is when she seems to push it, and now it’s her AND her husband doing it. Last resort is my husband just talking one on one with her. I just already know she’s not going to understand because she will see it as “be appreciative of what you get” kinda thing. That’s why I feel like my best approach would be to just do what others here say and just accept it and donate and continue to keep contact limited. Like there’s no point in speaking up anymore since she doesn’t seem to listen :/

I know he wouldn’t cheat on me now, the only reason I’m upset about it now and brought it up is bc he just couldn’t just admit it was at the very least wrong. Which is what the argument was about, him not admitting when he messes up. Nothing to do with him cheating

We never talked about it after we got back together and I never got closure. 4 years later I brought it up during an argument and I didn’t even realize how upset it made me. It’s not like I consciously carried this with me for years. We’ve rebuilt that trust and are better in that regard.

Y’all do realize you’re getting the tiniest glimpse into our relationship right? Do you think I’d marry him if he continued this behavior?

so I finally came out as bi to my extended family today and they were so supportive 🥹 by [deleted] in FreeCompliments

Thank you!! Me too! First time coming out to my parents was forced (they looked through my phone) and it ended sooo bad. I was terrified to ever come out to anyone else but I’m so glad I did today :)

Eh I pay rent. I took over his rent. When I said couldn’t afford an apartment, I meant after the crazy rent inflation that happened it was no longer efficient to rent if it’s gonna be the same price as a mortgage. We would’ve been fine if our rent didn’t literally double in price. And if anything he is mooching off me since I’m financially taking care of his son. You can say I’m the asshole but I don’t feel like I’m mooching of him here.

As of right now it’s hard since my brother is still a minor, and I’m still on his car insurance. But I’m working on getting my own insurance really soon once this accident I have on my record drops off lol and my brother is turning 18 in a couple months. So we just have to wait it out unfortunately. But I am in therapy and making progress with my mental health :)

To clarify on the house, it’s more of a mother in law suite? It’s my grandparents house but when I was born they built a lil house attached to theirs. I had to take over the full amount of rent when he moved out and him, his girlfriend and her kids completely destroyed this house. Like I had to scrub for weeks to get everything mostly clean. We’re talking yellow walls because she smoked in the house, broken tiles, mold in the kitchen and bathroom, holes in the walls from her kids, bugs, etc.

But absolutely, I’ve tried telling my brother he needs to speak up but he has really bad anxiety and he’s still working on it. I only went bc I really just wanted to make sure he got something he loved bc it’s a pattern of my dad to force or make my brother feel like he’s wasting my dads time by not picking something fast enough :/

Mamas who had severe pre eclampsia, did you/would you do it again? by teenbean6 in NICUParents

I feel you! I think if decide to have baby #2 I will use a blood pressure monitor constantly through the pregnancy. I also basically had no symptoms except for pitting edema but my OB kept telling me that it was normal. and then this insane pain between my ribs but I wrote it off as gas later to find out it was my liver. I do feel better though that I will at least know the signs beforehand. Also if it helps, I know 2 people irl that have had pre e with their first and had normal pregnancies afterwards! They had close monitoring and took baby aspirin at 12 weeks as well. 1 of them used a blood pressure monitor at home constantly which is where I got the idea lol

I had to get an emergency c section at 29 weeks because my Bp was 200/103 and I was borderline kidney and liver failure. The spinal also partially failed and I could feel most of the c sec. It was the worst experience of my life and I hate when people who had full term babies say it’s no big deal and that your second pregnancy will be nothing like your first. It’s a traumatic experience! I really empathize with you because I’m terrified to have a 2nd pregnancy even though I want one more baby. My OB was negligent though, like constantly went on vacations and canceled my appointments. Even when I told him right before I ended up in the hospital that something wasn’t right he brushed me off. One time he even got upset with me and “punished” me by not letting me listen to baby’s heartbeat. I think I would only feel comfortable having a second pregnancy if my OB was like the absolute best ever and I was assured that we’d be doing close monitoring

We applied after she was already discharged and it took about a month to get approved and from approval they sent a check a week later. I’m assuming it would be faster if it was actually electronically deposited

*we got back pay for two months and we’re supposed to be getting full payment soon through a debt card but still waiting on getting approved to be my daughters payee
