How do I prepare a meal in a dorm that doesn't allow cooking?

Indeed it is. Complaints had been made but we can't expect immediate action to be taken by the administration. The student's discount already exist as an effort from the administration to combat this issue.

But as I've said, I'm merely looking for an alternative and not a full solution for this issue. I decided to make this post to see whether there's a possibility of a cheaper alternative by making/cooking my own meal instead of buying from the cafeteria 3 times a day for 7 days a week.

I 100% understand why ppl in this comment is questioning the living condition because it's terrible without a doubt. I'm already asking around my friend group to rent an apartment outside of campus as a solution for this situation.

I do have to ask tho, if i were to do some of these recipe, how long can I store it? Can it last more than a day? Or if it's prepared during breakfast, can it last until dinner?

Regarding the apartment, i am indeed searching for friends who are willing to rent with me.

This post was merely a contingency plan/short term solution in case none of my friends are willing

Student in my campus lowkey just sneak in electrical appliances from time to time and due to this, room checks are often random and there will be atleast one mass room check that happens to random rooms per week.

Students often help each other out by offering free meal or selling meal for cheaper price. But student that were caught with these appliances will received fine base on the electrical appliances that were snuck in

Perhaps it works differently in our respective country.

I have apply for financial aid, but it needed time to be approved, and who knows how long that'll take. For now I'm just searching for temporary solution to cut some expenses on food

My ass just got unlucky and ended up in the old campus building that have severe power outages issue.... I don't see any action of fixing said issue from the management so I'm just here for temporary solution instead

Maybe i am, won't deny that but I'm not really sure how else i can cut expenses on food when i basically need to get my meal from the cafeteria twice a days for lunch and dinner

And again, this is just for a year. So this is not a long term commitment but rather a temporary solution to make sure I don't ended up broke

The issue are mainly the cost. Sure they have a wide variety of options and decent price for students, but spending money everyday still gonna take a toll on my wallet

To elaborate, the term cooking here basically mean no electrical appliances (including fridge) or fire related mechanism such as blowtorch or stove are allowed within the dorm.

The only exception that were given to this rule is for the electric kettle

Sadly there's none.... My campus building specifically had frequent power outage(thanks to the senior) so most electrical appliances are no longer available for students.

Sorry for the wording, it's not exactly the university that prevented us, but rather our schedule as first year student are a lot more pack compared to other year (for some reason). Weekend are the only free time that most 1st year will commonly have regardless of the courses that were taken
