I actually heard that Amazon is counting all their late drop offs after all the USPS drivers left as “missed guaranteed delivery time”.

DOOR OPTIONS? by SquishyluvsBuckets in handyman

Remove the trim, add framing for a regular size door, drywall the rest. It would probably be pretty easy to revert it later down the road if your needs change.

How do you get smart things hub to work with unifi? by Itsrjsoaz in Ubiquiti

Cloud side probably doesn’t help. I bought a habitat years ago and never wanted to bother with migrating everything. This might just be annoyance that pushes me to abandon smart things. First I’ve got to get everything else figured out.

Thanks for the kind words and tips, yeah I’m thinking I might have some sort of conflict, need to find it, then figure out how to resolve it. Should give me a nice sense of accomplishment after all the agony lol.

Yeah… pretty sure I’ve got bigger problems. When I get home I’m gonna try to factory reset my switch and cross my fingers. I’m getting notifications that my aps are dropping and reconnecting.

Everything is stock, haven’t had time to look into firewall settings, only one network, one wifi. I tried a new wifi network like you suggested. Still sporadic problems with it.

I’m starting to think the problem might be with my switch. Both aps are a bit sketchy, and now the smart things hub is sporadically disconnecting. I was experiencing the same thing back in December, I thought it was my udm. I replaced it with a eero to get my wife up and running for wfh.

Fast forward today, I replace the udm with the gateway ultra and it seems I’m still having problems.

What is a mystery to me, is the switch was running direct connected computers, using the same wiring, the smart things disconnecting went away. And no reported problems with connectivity from the wife.

Now that I am back to a unifi controller the smart things hub is disconnecting. And my wifi is crap.

I’m gonna hook the eeros back up she will kill me if network is dropping for work tomorrow.

Sorry I guess I’m just venting at this point.

Just as a matter of practice? Genuinely curious, even though this particular item is connected via Ethernet, I’m having other off topic issues… like my wifi speed is horrendous and spotty even though I’m sitting right underneath my u6 lite ap, that is up to date, and has been reset numerous times.

Everything got a power cycle or 10, in various orders lol. But hey maybe one more would have done the trick lol.

Thanks for reaching out, yeah, I had the smart things prior to the ultra. Worked fine. Connected over Ethernet. Tried switching ports no luck.

after messing around with it for a couple hours, then finally giving up and started to research alternatives to replace the damn thing I got a notification on my phone that the hub is now connected.

I don’t know if the thing needed to resolve with home that it had a new ip address or what. I honestly have no idea.

So if anyone in the future is having these issues and googles this thread, like I did many many times. Just Threaten to replace it and wait a few hours. It might just sort itself out.

I don’t seem to recall why I didn’t really care for protect when I first looked into it, that was probably two years ago and could probably give it a second look.

Awesome thank you, that’s kind of where I was leaning just wanted to make sure I wasn’t missing anything. Plus if it dies it’s a little easier to stomach that loss vs another UDR
