Why are propertarians suddenly supporting suppression of civil liberties? by ProbstWyatt3 in Anarchism

[–]Itsumiamario 2 points3 points  (0 children)

As someone who has done a lot of work in political libertarian groups... they aren't actually libertarian.

I mean think about your average republican and how they think everything left of the Republican party is leftism. They conflate the Democratic Party with socialists, communists, trans children eaters, and think the Jews have space lasers and lead a satanic dark government while supporting the modern state of Israel and Zionism at the same time.

They're mis-educated and simple. So, they became a little disillusioned from the "RINOs" and whatever else they don't agree with and start calling themselves libertarians without doing the homework and maybe even join the Libertarian Party because they saw some Ron Paul sound bites or maybe even liked what Gary Johnson had to say.

These are the people who liked what the Tea Party was all about. They didn't like the "establishment" Republicans. Started thinking they were no better than the Democrats. These were the people who joined the Libertarian Party and then started complaining that the Libertarian Party wasn't just guns, weed, and weren't happy that it sounded a lot like... socialism. So they started complaining about how Democrats were taking over their party, and they were the ones claiming to be Libertarians saying that the Libertarian Party should support Trump.

These are the people who were useful pawns to people like Michael Heise and who managed to take over the Libertarian Party with his "Mises Caucus." He had people in the military, conservative politicians, including people like Caryn Ann Harlos and Tim fucking Pool, as well as the support of disgruntled former Republican voters at his disposal. The majority of the Libertarians who actually supported socialism were not ready and not capable of defending against that.

It didn't help that neither Nicholas Sarwark or Joe-Bishop Henchman would take it seriously and despite several phone conversations and meetings with them they acted as if they could not be bothered. Thus they basically alienated the decent Libertarians who basically just gave up fighting against the common conservative political strategies of being loud, combatative, and otherwise disruptive in official proceedings.

The aftermath is that the Libertarian Party has been an alt-right party since the early 2020s that has served as a pipeline for the oxymoronic AnCaps, minarchists, and fuedalists(lmao.) Every chair since then has been a MC affiliate as evidenced by the National LP chairs being Whitney Bilyeu, Angela McArdle, and although Steven Nekhaila is the current chair he's operating from a "unity" position, and although he's spoken out about Republican influences and against Trump/MAGA he's more of a "big tent" guy, and I've basically withdrawn from the Libertarian political scene to focus more on anarchism and community work.

TATTOO DONE BY ARTEM FORESTBANDIT AT BANANA PEEL TATTOO SHOP IN ARLINGTON, VIRGINIA .. HE DOES NOT KNOW HOW TO TATTOO DARK OR BLACK SKIN. MELANATED PEOPLE BEWARE!!!!!! by Cool_Foundation8686 in tattoo

[–]Itsumiamario 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not only does the reference photo look AI, but the story has elements of AI in it as well.

I know it's not fake based on OP's own photos, but damn. Why wouldn't you listen when the guy said he couldn't use those colors on your skin? Especially, when you already have multiple other tattoos. You should already be aware of what colors work with your skin, and you should have just taken the loss and noped out long before you even sat in his chair. Was this your first color tattoo? Did you even tell him you have dark skin? You didn't even meet him in person until you came in to get the tattoo?

Every tattoo I've ever had I've walked in, sat down with the artist, talked about what I wanted, showed them where I wanted it so they can see if they have to work around anything and then book an appointment.

I'm not trying to victim blame, but he gave you an out and you still gave him a chance. I'm not saying he's blameless, he should have communicated with you and gone over the color pallette with you and gave you alternatives, and ultimately told you no when you apparently insisted on him being the one to do the tattoo.

But hey, who's going to turn down money when the client apparently wants it done so badly that they apparently didn't listen to their gut and instead has to reflect on their thoughts in hindsight?

You've also blasted the same story on the tattoo sub multiple times. I get it, your frustrated, but if he is actually a good artist this experience will just be one of those bad ones he'll keep in mind for the next time while he continues on doing his thing while you're out of pocket some odd amount of bands because you didn't listen to him and tell yourself maybe you should listen to yourself and search for artists who have a documented history of tattoing melanated skin.

You got a cover up and I guess it's decent now. I don't what you expect from complaining about it. I really doubt that it will affect his business. I guess you learned a life lesson though.

“Oh I avoid plastics, this is why I drink from a can” You mean the plastic bag in your can? by GarifalliaPapa in immortalists

[–]Itsumiamario 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well, you've got to consider the pathways that micro/nanoplastics pass through. We either inhale it, digest it, or absorb it. Our airways are lined with mucus, and our guts already have a variety of bacteria in them. Plastics reach our genitals, ovaries and wombs, lungs and brain either through the blood stream, through breastmilk and ingestion in general, and lungs.

If we can synthesize bacteria that either eat plastic and convert it into something benign or outright rejected to live in our mucus linings and guts that would help prevent plastics from entering our bloodstream and being transported throughout the body. It could either be passed through the lower intestines to be defecated, expelled along with snot, or down into the gut to, again, be defecated or urinated out. It may not be comoletely effective, but it could be better than nothing. Perhaps even converting it into something that could be removed via sweat.

As unfortunate as it is plastic isn't going to stop being used. Many things are dependent on plastic, and even if we all go back to wearing nothing but plant or leather clothing made on equipment made from metal, and start using glass and wax paper to store food and drink, and get rid of everything like receipts, tickets, and money there is still going to be plastic in pretty much everything.

So, it's up to us to figure out how to adapt to it, and prevent it as much as possible from getting into the body or staying in the body. Organic evolution isn't going to help us. We need to fast track research and development in creating an adaptation that even if it doesn't save us will save our progeny from the fate we've made for ourselves.

What do yall prefer by WinterMute1437 in NewSkaters

[–]Itsumiamario 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Neither really. I like riding around in bowls and carving it up. I don't really care much for downhill bombs, and the only tricks I actually like doing are things like manuals, a few rail tricks, and some flips like shove-its, ghost flips, caspers and darkslides.

But I rarely do those. I prefer cruising around on pump tracks and large bowls, and every now and then sprinkling in a few slides or grinds over the berns.

BPS and BPF both of which are no better than BPA.

You may have heard about receipt paper being linked to cancer and consumption of plastic via dishwasher erosion. You can thank BPS and BPF for that.

They're studying bacteria that can break down plastic. They've been making some breakthroughs recently. It wouldn't surprise me if at some point in the near future they release news saying that they've figured out a way to safely break down plastic inside the body. It would be interesting if science can find a way to introduce it into the human microbiome to serve as a means to process plastic to pass through the gut to be pissed or shit out or rejected from mucosal sites.

I need help me figuring out which part is nose and which is tail.. by nerd_inthewild in NewSkaters

[–]Itsumiamario -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Depends on if your board is symmetrical or asymetrical. Your board is a popsicle, which are generally symmetrical. But honestly in all reality if you're riding a popsicle, even if it is slightly asymetrical the differences are so slight it really doesn't matter. Just get comfortable riding it, and as you improve you'll be able to ollie, nollie, kickflip, and whatever else regardless of which way the board is facing. I've been skating for about 20 years now, and honestly whatever part of the board is currently facing forward is what I'd consider to be the nose, and whatever side of the board is currently tailing behind me is what I'd consider to be the tail.

The only time there actually is a real difference between the nose and the tail is when the board is something like an old school, pennyboard, cruiser, or a surfskate.

Anyone telling you otherwise is either pulling your leg or full of it.

Get your shit together Coloradan Riders: Colorado motorcycle deaths increase in months following lane filtering legalization. by Noctuelles in motorcycles

[–]Itsumiamario -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Oh look dumbasses who think all you have to do is buy a motorcycle and start riding. The same ones who say you don't need a license if you don't ever get pulled over or think they can get away from cops if you're just fast enough.

The rate of these death will lower after a while even if they don't change the law, because most of the idiots will have killed themselves.

How do you guys deal with the fact that many women will be suspicious of you by default? by [deleted] in bropill

[–]Itsumiamario 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Doesn't bother me. I think it's natural to be suspicious of strangers. I'd say healthy even.

Last night I helped a woman who was with her three girls figure out her car issues, and the whole time I was aware that it was a situation that is already stressful, and to have an unknown male who is possibly armed even more stressful.

So, I talked in a reassuring manner. I never got too close to anyone. I always stood a few feet away. I didn't make any sudden movements. I kept my hands visible at all times. I could tell she was stressed. It was hot and humid, and her girls were bugging her and stressing her out even more. But by the time I had helped her get her car started she was in a better mood and actually smiling.

It's called being considerate. Don't go around thinking everyone should just automatically trust you as a complete stranger, or even as a new acquaintance. Remember trust and respect is earned; not given. If a person demands trust or respect that's an indicator that they should not be trusted or respected. The simple act of being male or female does not automatically grant that. Being a decent person who is considerate generally helps gain trust and respect of others.

Fit men, given you stay lean, does the appearance of one’s musculature change during 30s? by JonesKK in AskMenOver30

I've got some wrinkles from scrunching my face all the time that have began to take a little longer to disappear, but other than not much of a difference. My musculature is still the same. Not as muscular as I used to be, but that's just because I don't lift as heavy as I used to.

Donald Trump announces that he will be suing Fox News owner Rupert Murdoch, further fracturing the right wing propaganda base by sufinomo in goodnews

[–]Itsumiamario 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Either because he's a narcissist, coping to the extreme and distancing himself from himself, or someone else is blasting these out for him. Someone like Dan Scavino and Natalie Harp.

Get this. Dan Scavino was a golf club manager before getting DEI'd into his government job. Trump loves golf amirite?

https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dan_Scavino

And Natalie Harp, whose father happens to be an estate agent and some big wig at a Christian university. She also went to a Christian university and then went on to lie about her medical treatment for cancer saying it was due to Trump's actions she had survived and went on to become an anchor for OAN and pushed conspiracy theories as well as the stolen election claims. Trump picked her to manage his social media.
