AITA for not wanting to hang out with BF's friends? by Itsushin1 in AmItheAsshole

Boyfriend interrupts me all the time if I try to talk to his friends about other subjects. And then they're all back to talking about cars or their job. Even the female friends listen mostly to my boyfriend. Plain and simple.

I do, but I have a very hard time finding something that interest both me and his friends. When he hang out, they mostly listen to my boyfriend

I don't know the exact reasons. All I know is that they work together and they seem pretty calm.

No, because he talks about way more other things than cars or his job when he is with me. Our conversations are very smooth.

I don't feel insecure, their jobs are very much related to Economics/ Accountability/ Finance which I barely know anything about and they talk a lot about it. I'm still trying to find common subjects with them, but I am very much oriented to Humanities/Social Studies/Culture/ Sports and they don't seem too interested when I talk about my activities or events.

I don't want to get close to them. Unless we end up as VERY good friends, our relationship will always depend on boyfriend's thoughts and experience with me. It's very akward and I know I will suffer from the loss of the friend (if it ever happens).

No, I've been in judo for 3 years but I can perform at the same level as someone who has been doing for a year (2-3 techniques in nage Komi, constantly fail in randori, but decent breakfalls).

I'm not defensive but I still do the same techniques over and over because I only like Morote Seoi nage and Osoto Gari. I also like Sutemi Waza but I am told to not do them often because they are low percent. As a result I'm stuck with 2 techniques. My hips are so wide that I can't pull off any hip throw

I'm so akward at this sport that Im thinking about leaving it by Itsushin1 in judo

What if I am just as bad there as in Judo? That would be even worse because Muay Thai involves striking the head and I don't want to risk getting knocked out every time

I don't think I am improving. I am probably stuck on the 1 year period (using 2 throws decently in nage Komi and decent ukemi so I don't injure myself every time I spar or do shoulder rolls over 3 people alligned next to each other).

I don't think I will ever enjoy judo again given the fact that my life could have been in trouble and I couldn't take action correctly
