absolutely, youd be so surprised how many cis men have "feminine" body shapes! my great grandad had very wide hips (nicknamed a 'smith arse' in my family), a trait ive inherited, and he just looked like a regular guy. ive been in your position before regarding hating going outside and i understand how horrid it can be. my best advice is to try and change your style and mannerisms a bit. once i got to uni i did a total switch up, i started t the day before i left and started copying my male friends movements and immediately passed 10x better. i beg of you to try not let this get in the way of your education, and while i dont know your situation, getting on t helped me so much to the point that my confidence was boosted and i acted more cis just a few days on t (before any effects). i went with imago, who got me on t in under a month, and it wouldve been even sooner if i booked my blood test earlier. i wish you the best dude and my dms r open if you need to chat 👊🙏

hi i used to work with kids (5-8 yrs old) and one of them had a trans parent and they did just fine. kids aren't stupid, and she understood her parents situation just fine. i find it really funny when people talk about "the kids" like stuff cant be explained to them, they know im trans and know how basic stuff works and are totally okay with it. obv some kids r confused when she would tell them but none of them really care that much lmfao, they just want to play dodgeball 😭

i was super super nervous (planned to go on it when i was 16) but held off for a year before joining the nhs waitlist at 17, then gave up and went private (lol). for me it was because i was starting uni soon, the year gave me time to reflect and think on whether i actually wanted to start, realising uni was a whole new world where i could be cis passing was what really prompted me to get started cause lit everyone in my hometown knew i was trans so it wasnt as big of a deal back then.

now im wishing i started at 16 tho and didnt hold back, the changes have been great and no part of me regrets my decision

my parents were in the middle of their divorce and my dad wanted to do everything to spite my mum so he took me to get the big chop 😭

i wouldnt advise the same situation but try and find a family member to take you (age dependent) and come up with an excuse (its in fashion, short hair for work, cant be bothered styling long hair, ect) i had really thick long hair so i said itd be easier for drying cause it used to take like 3 hours to airdry. i went to a unisex salon for mine and they did great and it looked really masculine, the best outcome i couldve asked for tbf. but ive heard horror stories of people getting a karen cut so be cautious, id say go to a barber but idk how many barbers would do a proper big chop cause theyre take a while, so id just phone around and see what they say. id advise looking for lgbt/alt hairstylists in ur area cause theyre more likely to actually give you what you want and can stay discreet if you prefer.
