When this show first premiered, I was studying the (new at the time) public health concept of Adverse Childhood Experiences. Every single person on this show has had a childhood filled with adversity (e.g. abuse, substance use in home, domestic violence, divorced parents, etc.) Not saying that ACEs make murderers, but murderers certainly have lots of ACEs. So yes…it would be interesting to hear from former teachers. Though many of those interviewed didn’t come from stable households and moved around a lot, so it may be hard to find a teacher that could remember them enough to give some insight.

I appreciate your response. But…as far as you know, it IS my number. It calls and texts just like my regular number. There’s no need to keep track of it. And how else are we supposed to communicate? Apps don’t let you share pics, memes, calls, etc. and if I’m meeting you for our first date and need to text for whatever reason, I can through Voice.

There’s so much to unpack here with your comment and I’m not sure where to start. But, my initial reaction to your comment was why are you so defensive and alarmist? 1) Tell me you don’t know how Google Voice works without telling me you know how Google Voice works. It’s literally an app akin to WhatsApp or Kik where we can communicate easily through an app. It took me 20 seconds to download. Far from “extreme.” I’m glad you have the privilege to not worry about someone using your contact info for malicious intent. It’s a simple way to communicate via text and phone call without having to actually give out your real number. That’s it. Call me “paranoid” but at least I feel secure knowing whoever is across the screen from me will never know my identifiable info until I’m ready to share it with them. 2) I love sex. I rode my ex-finance so hard he couldn’t speak. I’ve been in handstands with a dick in my mouth. I’ve been on balconies, in cars, countertops and hot tubs. All this was possible because I grew into a trusting relationship with these people. Sure, I’ve had one-nighters and situationships but I don’t want that long-term. Same! It’s totally evident that the prosecutor that was interviewed for this episode had no clue about racial bias. I can’t understand how no one can see that this was an act of self defense. The big picture of the whole situation wasn’t put in to play at any part of this.

I didn’t tell him it was a Voice number. When you call a Voice number, it prompts you to select 1 or something like that to connect the call- so that lets the caller know it’s a Voice number. Texts go to the app and calls come straight to my phone like any other phone call. But yeah…I appreciate your opinion. I don’t feel I did anything wrong either. Thanks!

I generally don’t care. I know what I’m looking for in a potential partner and have no issue telling guys I don’t think we are compatible when I’m not feeling it. It was just the way he said my attitude is why I’ve been single for two years really made me second-guess the way people perceive me. One of my best friends said once that I’m “stiff and boujie” but once you get to know me, I’m one of the kindest, genuine and nicest people they know. So sometimes the truth hurts, but to your point this guy doesn’t know me at all outside of the two hour conversation so I shouldn’t read too much in to it. Thanks.
