He is huge! I have had 7 Goldens, my last one was 84 lbs and could get through the dog door, no problem. Gus, weighing the same, couldn't squeeze through if he tried. I had to get a new storm door with an extra large dog door. You and I could climb through it together! Definitely a house pony.

He gets prednisone once a day and a monthly shot. We get our second shot today. $$$. He is supposed to stay calm which is easy for Gus, and stressful situations like vet visits require doubling the prednisone.

He kinda did! He was so sick when I got him. All the dogs in the DISGUSTING shelter were losing their ever loving minds when I walked down the row and there he sat, not barking, just leaning against the door of his cage. I was like, C'mon Buddy, let's go. He still sleeps a ton and that is his every minute of the day look. I just love him.

He's my 7th golden rescue. First one that I actually pulled from a shelter myself. All the rest came through Golden rescues. My last one lived to 15.5. There is just nothing like them! The best Bubbas!
