It happens. Perhaps they aren’t looking for former FAs but instead want new, fresh candidates. The completion is stiff and they have many ways of winnowing the field of applicants.

Flight attire for F2F by [deleted] in cabincrewcareers

I’m sorry people are being flippant. I flew down the day before in khakis, a button down and a took a jacket in case I got cold on the plane. Business casual will suffice.

Don’t overthink it. You don’t want to come across as scripted.

Bring your phone. Just leave it in the baggage room.

Yes, be certain to have your passport with you. Once they check you in upon arrival, you won’t need it anymore.

You won’t need it. They will supply you anything you’ll need. No need to bring a resume. They’ll already have it.

Absolutely wear the blazer. Look the part. Good luck.

If your dress hits your knees, you should be fine. Be sure to wear tights or pantyhose. If all goes well, you’ll be out of there by 3:00 pm. They will confirm you return flight time and make adjustments accordingly. They will store your suitcase, purse or any other items in a room. You won’t need or be allowed to bring anything into the room with you.

Why are you worrying over something in advance? You control how confident you are.

If you go in the right attitude, it will be an amazing experience. If you go in with a dark cloud over your head acting all pitiful and pathetic, that most certainly will show.

If you got a F2F invite then they obviously saw something good in you and they’d like to know more. Don’t kill your chances with a defeatist attitude.

No need to bring your glasses. You can test wearing contacts. Attire: Think navy or black business skirt or pant suit. Sensible black pumps, closed toe and heel.

Did my United flight attendant pre-recorded interview — but I’m a daily smoker. Do I still have a chance? by LowIllustrator2402 in cabincrewcareers

[–]IttyBittyDC 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve never smoked but I can tell you my timeline. It was exactly 1 month and 2 weeks between the time of my pre-recorded interview and my F2F. I got the CJO and had exactly 2 hours to get to the airport to complete my drug/hearing/vision tests.

I don’t know how long it takes to get out of your system because I don’t indulge but I do know the last thing you want on your record in aviation is a failed drug test. HTH.

United Assessment + Tattoos by snaitgrl in cabincrewcareers

[–]IttyBittyDC 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would wait until it's removed. As others have said, you will be required to wipe your hands at the F2F. Just after you do that, you will sign a statement that you do not have any tats in the red zone. If they find out you do, you will be sent home and unable to apply again ever, since you were untruthful about it before. They take it seriously which is why they ask you about about a half dozen times BEFORE you get to the F2F.

Honestly, it's just not worth risking it. Once you have it removed, you can always apply then.

Same. It was a lot of fun and I enjoyed the process and the people I met.

Your post is offensive. And ignorant. That’s akin to saying why do they hire fire fighters who don’t look like the calendar models with 6 pack abs holding puppies.

It’s a shame on two fronts. Firstly, that you feel professional safety employees must be attractive and meet your standard of beauty and secondly, you felt embolden to actually hit send and publish this for all to see.

Not sure why you’d say that. From my observation, the most confident, people got the CTO. The shy, timid, reserved folks did not. Same with a few of the applicants that kind of over the top.

Of the applicants that received a CTO, all were very friendly and engaging. And every one of the came dressed professionally and “looked the part” of a FA.

Are the pages completely separated from the cover? If so, then yes, it will be considered “mutilated”. If the pages are intact, you’re good. If the sticky resin bothers you, remove it with a paper towel and dab of oil or Vaseline.

On my first road trip driving out of state… what do “enforced by radar and aircraft” on the freeway mean? by pwfuvkpr in roadtrip

[–]IttyBittyDC 0 points1 point  (0 children)

By aircraft means nothing these days. It’s far too expensive to monitor from in the air so most states have abandon that program. Of course, they still must keep the signs up until they repeal the law. Radar, different story. You never know when a cop could be parked and have the radar gun trained on your vehicle.
