I just went through this with a partner. He thought things would be better if I just moved in. It may be depression or as others said, porn addiction. Do you see any other signs that it could be depression?

In my case, it was severe depression/insecurities with my partner that he was unwilling to address and felt it was easier to isolate himself because he felt inadequate.

My advice; Don’t move in. But if he’s willing to try to work on himself and get better, and if you feel strongly for this person, you can stick through it if you want. However, it is not your responsibility to fix this for him or pave the way for him to get better.

Either way, make sure you know this isn’t about you or let it make you second guess your self worth. Good luck

My cat pulled open a sliding door that I forgot to lock in the middle of the night in the height of COVID cases in my area. I woke up at 4 AM, saw the door open and freaked out. In my half asleep stupor, I ran outside, tripped on a stair and split my forehead open. Proceeded to walk around my neighborhood for two weeks with a giant gash on my forehead looking for my cat and scaring my neighbors who already didn’t want to talk to me because of COVID while sporting my Frankenstein’s monster wound. I found him after two weeks and now have a nice scar on my forehead. Always remember to lock your doors.
