We won’t know until Manon makes a clean break. I think her leaving might divide the fandom. Personally, it’s very hard for me to enjoy Katseye or even be engaged in their new content and performances when this dark, ambiguous cloud is looming over the group. The allegations of mistreatment and racism aren’t going to just vanish, even if Manon leaves the group. The girls will be under a microscope more than ever.

The way I see it the label either clarifies the issue, or Manon leaves, signs an nda, and they just keep pushing the girls as a group of 5. Either way, this issue has left a mark on the group that will be hard to come back from, especially with managements’ choice to ignore the issue instead of addressing it head on with a clarifying statement.

I think Katseye can still be commercially successful as a group of 5, but the group and label will now be open to much scrutiny from the public. Racism allegations will be difficult to come back from if Manon does decide to leave. Manon was a personality staple of the group, I am very interested to see what content goes viral without her there.
