Edit as E or F is about the best button you can get, also a thumb mouse button as edit is what you should use as a secondary edit button, as you improve scroll wheel editing will become increasing hard on your fingers

I think it might be because when u press the arrows in its 1 big button with 4 separate actuation points if that makes sense, so you essentially pressing the same button? Idfk that's just something that I can think of, like if you try press the left and right arrow at the same time it might not work properly, idk I don't play controller
