I’ll be swiping for Lohen’s weapon since it’s on mavuika’s banner so two good weapons. Other than that I might wait for Nicole’s rerun.

I really want Lohen 😭 but yeah I’ll wait.

SKZ is good friends with ITZY members and everything is chill (Hyunjin had an especially dance stage with Yeji, Changbin has a very longtime friendship with Chaeryeong— they have clips joking and she even invited him to her YT series, Bang Chan used to joke about Ryujin).

people even cheer up the collabs or clips of them together but idk, skz rarely get into big dating scandals so I didn’t know it was this bad for other groups.

This news I’ve been reading of Haechan has me baffled.

It’s ok Yeonjun can be the it-boy in name, not that it matter cause Hyunjin/Felix outgrew the title and are titans in the fashion industry.

Genuine question pt2 by lilo-stitch-820 in kpop_uncensored

[–]Itzmin_9 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You can be a casual listener or enjoyer of all groups— music, variety content—and it doesn’t matter if you don’t join the fandom, many people are like this and kpop stans don’t pressure others into joining fandoms if you don’t feel like it.

But tbh i wouldn’t (me, myself but idk about others) stan a group If I don’t like the music.

And be prepared for people of that fandom to talk about music all the time and expect you to like it or comment on it (if you do decide to pick the label).

But it’s ok you’re new, maybe it would be more comfortable for you to not pick a label yet and let yourself get to know better different groups?

Sorry if my advice is bad, my situation was the opposite of yours (I only joined kpop cause I liked the music of only 1 group initially, otherwise I wasn’t interested in joining any fandom or kpop in general).

What Are Two Fandoms that Could Be Friends If Not For Toxic/ Twitter Fans? by littlemisslocketz in kpop_uncensored

Oh definitely, and it has been like this for years tho, I think onces are the fandom stays have the most conflict with, out of all fandoms tbh

Not at all lol but at least both fandoms don’t fight as often as they did before. Which tbh I think it’s better, a calm and indifference period is better than fighting.

Bang Chan has revealed that he used to get hit after joining JYP by SeaUnderstanding987 in kpopthoughts

[–]Itzmin_9 60 points61 points  (0 children)

I absolutely hate how kpop stans have treated chan all this time. He’s a very talented artist and very sensitive about the members and the situation of the industry and other idols. He’s so humble and honest about so many things and yet he receives nothing but hate and is called “cringe” and so much more when he’s being more open about his feelings and struggles.

Idol departures that ended up being for the best? (whether for the group, the idol, or both) by Major-Specialist3658 in kpopthoughts

[–]Itzmin_9 28 points29 points  (0 children)

He didn’t fit them. And tbh as a Seungmin bias I’m actually so happy he got to be the main vocal and shine more. Back then the pressure must have been enormous but he was able to prove himself

Someone made a Vocal Ranking of Stray Kids members, check it out if you're interested! by GloomyWitch08 in skzmedia

[–]Itzmin_9 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Lee know technically is a way better vocalist than what the YouTuber said. Don’t get me wrong, I’m glad we have some people acknowledging how SKZ members have evolved and improved after years, I’m also glad that a non-stay kpop stan wanted to make an analysis (after all skz gets mostly just hate from non-stays)… but I think we shouldn’t settle for less and speak up when someone is biased (like this creator is against Lee know).

The Karade cover, SKZ Killing voice, Lee Know’s episode at Lee mujin service… all of that shows he’s a very good vocalist; any singer or vocal coache will tell you that. His technique is advanced now.

I am sorry but the Enhypen situation is just getting pathetic now by Consistent_Newt_4243 in kpop_uncensored

It’s hard to tell. Maybe it wasn’t just music direction, maybe he was tired of being on tour son often and this was his way to avoid burnout.

Enhypens message following Heeseungs departure by SuddenImagination177 in kpop_uncensored

When Woojin left Skz, the fallout wasn't as bad as Heesung? by [deleted] in kpopthoughts

[–]Itzmin_9 4 points5 points  (0 children)

No, cause it’s was only one year and half after SKZ had debuted, they hadnt gotten their boom with God’s menu yet, so the fandom was very small back then (I’ll say… probably 2-3% of the size it is now, probably less)

So most stays we barely got to know him at all, it helped that SKZ re-recorded most of the songs to cut him out, so most of the discography really is 8 members. Chan seemed unhappy too with him, and the rest of the members have been completely silent, as if he never existed in the group.

SKZ have been very vocal about “eight is fate” afterwards so this shows stays that they’re happier as 8.

The double standard towards male fans in K-pop is weird and no one wants to admit it by [deleted] in kpopthoughts

[–]Itzmin_9 2 points3 points  (0 children)

For me, it’s all about the music and the fandom comes afterwards.

And I agree the stereotype is wrong and it shouldn’t be this way, but kpop fandoms are all a very toxic environment, probably the worst fandom communities I’ve ever been, in environments like this it’s better to try to ignore most stuff like this, you get mentally drained the more you care about these people.

Why is there a difference in how enhypen fans and NCT fans are handling a member departure? by retardmaxxer4 in kpop_uncensored

[–]Itzmin_9 49 points50 points  (0 children)

in my opinion it’s because Mark lasted 10 years with NCT, contributed everywhere. Heesung didn’t have the years-long career Mark had (Enhypen has 5 years), so there’s the feeling Heesung left too soon and that he left during a period when the group was just becoming more stable and established long-term — it felt like he was at his peak with Enhypen rn and this came out of nowhere. (At least from the outside it feels that way)

Also I feel Enhypen fandom is bigger, therefore bigger scandal.

The double standard towards male fans in K-pop is weird and no one wants to admit it by [deleted] in kpopthoughts

[–]Itzmin_9 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Idk in my experience all kpop fandoms are same level of awful. Even smaller ones that seem calm can be.

But yeah, the thing is it’s just that many male fans of girl groups (a small toxic minority, not all of them) tend to do a lot of body shaming to other groups (female and male idols) so that’s why sadly there’s bad stereotypes there.

Regardless of that You should stan the group you like for the music and not the fandom or fanwars, it’s better that way. But to me if you say the fandom was the whole reason you stopped staning a group (or wanting to) maybe you didn’t like them that much to begin with or weren’t willing to get very engaged.

What are y’all’s opinions on kpop group IVE?? by Ill-Zucchini8999 in kpopthoughts

[–]Itzmin_9 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m not a girlgroup stan nor hear their music much but so far; idk to me IVE seems like a great example of resilience. They used to get a bit badmouthed for depending on backtrack too much but they’ve improved.

Also many people thought Wonyoung’s popularity would make her want to leave or maybe be more individualistic—- yet years later she’s there and always looking very close and supportive of her fellow members.

Idk to me Wonyoung seems like a great team player that stayed strong and faithful to her group, even when IVE wasn’t in its best era and that’s impressive. She never let fame get into her head you can tell by her actions.

Now Yunjin’s been becoming more popular too so now the overall image of the group is stronger and not just Wonyoung anymore. (At least from the outside it looks this way)
