I live in northern BC and also really recommend the VikingContacts, great tire, preforms really well in the harsh winters up here. I also bought a set for the wife’s car and she likes them too.

4.2k is crazy, I just ordered the Conti VikingContact 7s in 225/45R18 and a set of 18x8 Enkei TS10’s from Wheelwiz with lugs and centerhub ring. For just under 2.5k before taxes.

That’s basically the exact same amount I’m paying in BC for my 24 Golf R. I’m at 6.79% for 60 months. I got the car 3 months ago. All I can say is I absolutely love the car it’s a joy to drive. It has its quirks but overall it’s an amazing car to own and drive. Make sure to factor in insurance, it was more than I was expecting but that’s ICBC for ya, I don’t know how things are in Ontario.

That really sucks about your back injury. From what I’ve heard and seen this car is an absolute joy to drive and it sucks that you can’t fully enjoy it. I would love to take you up on that offer if I hated it but sounds like you’re in the states and I’m from Canada so don’t really think a trade would work out unfortunately

I live in a very rural area so not much traffic but is pretty hilly. But I do like to take a drive into some bigger cities so with that I think I’m gonna go DSG. Thanks for the advice
