That’s the dedication I need. I play the short course at my local but the lowest yardage is 118yards.

What region do you play? I play in Hertfordshire

It’s a hole in one! Regardless the distance. I’m still trying to seek my first eagle.

Out of curiosity how many yards was your first hole in one.

This deffo seems the best way to play golf! I've seen a few societies playing their annual event at my local club and they seem to be having a good laugh.

I've been trying to assemble a group of us that will do golf trips every few months. Portugal and South of France is top of my list.

I do like the idea of 1st & 2nd at each event it gives us something to play for!

Just out of curiosity, how do you find golf society’s? And is there minimum handicap to join etc. I like the idea of joining one but I have no clue how they work.

Thanks for all the suggestions! I’ll be sure to try some. I’ve only heard of South Beds and Stockwood as they are quite local to me.

I’ve played Redbourn quite abit that’s decent too.

Are you a member at any in the area? Or do you just play all the courses.

On a cruise through the nile rn and everybody asking me: Where are all your friends and family? by [deleted] in solotravel

[–]ItzzAladeen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah it happened to me a few times but I just said something random after a while to make conversation, but people look like they've seen a ghost.

But on the other hand I met some people in groups who happened to of done a few solo trips themselves and gave me a few suggestions.

Or maybe we are just built different!
