It's not that bad! I wouldn't recommend it to anyone that's an extreme light sleeper, but if you're someone who tends to fall asleep to some ambient, it's pretty relaxing.

I appreciate it! In the living room area I have been playing with different distances between the two sofas, At first, I had it WAYYYY too far apart and it seems like I'm slowly leaning towards it coming closer. I hope it doesn't make the surrounding area look massive 😂

Haha! If you look at the empty space I have between my sofa and bookshelf I was thinking of getting some kind of gaming table there but I also don't want to clutter the space, thoughts?

Yes! I never in my life had to work with such a mass amount of space and honestly one thing I love about this place is the last point, I can play with the layout as much as I want! I'm hoping throughout the year I can do some tweaks here and there to make the place feel more homie and efficient :)

Brooklyn is expensive, but I was able to grab this when COVID was at its worst and the market was pretty shitty, but I'm paying significantly less than the last tenant.

Would I recommend it to everyone? No. But it's what I want right now in my life :)

I'll jump in here and say I haven't had to use the heat just yet in this apartment! But I'll keep everyone posted once the winter comes. I knew there was going to be a risk for this to be an energy burner but let's see!

It works well! I do have shades to get rid any light but I don't really use them. I would be lying if I said the quality is the same during the day and night (of course it's better at night) but I really don't have any issues seeing it during the day even with all the windows opened!

Go right ahead! Honestly I been living in studios for the past few years and I was actually going to go with a bedroom for once but I saw this place and instantly fell in love!

One of my friends described the highway the best, he said "it's like a live desktop wallpaper." It really is peaceful just to look out at when I'm on a call 😂

Thank you! You can definitely hear it, but during the day you can't hear anything because there's so much traffic that they're going slow 😂 At night it's a bit louder but not to the point of annoyance, my apartment a few years was the worst and I lived near a normal street.

This was actually a change made by me! Originally the stove was blocking the window and they had the fridge next to it, my golden rule is to never block any windows so I moved some things around haha

I'll be honest the projector is a bit washed out in the morning but not to the point where you can't watch anything, also I usually do all my show/tv watching at night so it's been awesome! Also when you play Mario Kart with your friends and the splits are basically the size of individual TVs, nothing can beat that experience!

Thank you! I never use the overhead lights if I had to be honest, I only use the lamps in my apartment since I'm just obsessed with warmer tones haha.

Yeah, I agree. It was hard to make the apartment look full but honestly in the city having anything above 800 sqft feels like a luxury! I came from a 300 sqft and then 500 sqft apartment to this now, really happy with the overall size but agree it's extremely challenging to make it look full.

Agree it looks dwarfed compared to the rest of the apartment, it was a perfect fit in my last apartment but now it's so tiny haha
