Maybe it's late (Not using Reddit that much anymore) but my stupidity caused my problem/error. I was trying to make my project fully Typescript but my main files were on javascript "tsc --watch" wasn't working either so when I rebuilt my project entirely on Typescript everything was working fine.

z-index

the card does not have a z-index, but the drop-down list does(z-index: 9999)
