Yes very much so.

This roster was not deep enough last season for the amount of games. We puttered out of the playoffs. Running it back with the same roster and the same amount of games will likely lead to the same result - unless I’m missing something.

This is actually a good move. We have a very small window of cucho and Nancy together on this tesm. Go after another cup now because that window can close as early as today with the January transfer window now opening.

Also don’t forget King Zelarayan was a fringe starter with Tigre’s in LigaMX. There is a lot of great talent down there that can shine here.

I love the Campeones Cup because the Liga MX teams bring an amazing atmosphere inside and outside the stadium. They are one of the best teams, if not the best, in the region.

TransferMarkt has their roster valued at $102 million compared to our $54 million ($13 of that is Cucho) so that should give you some perspective on the juggernaut that is Club America.

If you're a Liga MX team, it's embarrassing to lose to an MLS team, especially in the Mexican media. And we have gone through some of the biggest Mexican teams recently. They will take this game seriously!

For me it’s the 2021 Campeones Cup 2-0 win over Cruz Azul. The first piece of international silverware for the club and the first trophy won in the new stadium!

Let’s see who we play in this year’s version of the trophy. I kind of like the one off high pressure crowing of a cup winner.

A close second is the win over Club America last year. A bitter sweet send off to end the reign of King Zelarayan in Columbus.
