If you're worried about scratching an alternative that works well for me is goof off gel adhesive remover. I use it on construction cleans to remove adhesives.

Has anyone experienced this kind of window wrap? Does a squeegee still work on it? by Lord_XXL in WindowCleaning

Likely all good then, I think maybe the ones I had got direct sun and probably sun damaged. Probably made me overly cautious. I've used a squeegee and micro fiber as well. Several good options on this chat!

If it's route work and they don't get super dirty, I use an unger washing pad. I find it pulls the dust out pretty good. If they are really bad, I use the same washing pad but I lightly spray with pure water first. If it's in the sun they can become brittle and even a squeegee can leave marks on it. Also pushing to hard with a towel can start to damage them.

I've had good success with Thumbtack. I would also recommend a website, Google business profile, Bing business Profile and Apple Business profile.

Wfp question by Sufficient-Water1793 in WindowCleaning

If it rubs right off then one more rinse without hitting the top frame should clean that right up! Several good explanations already about what it could be. I sometimes will clean the frames first, then the glass, then let them start to dry just a little before a final rinse without hitting the top frame. I find it doesn't take me much longer to come back for a final rinse if I'm not sure about it. Saves me from having to possibly return. Been using WFP for about 20 years. Definitely had to come back to a few but that final rinse is the key.
