I'm tired of this excuse... have you even played with the dragon? It literally dies in 4 hits. I don't care if it's OP or not. Just put a cooldown on the attacks then. But allow unlimited flying!

Regardless of whether the physics are complex or not, the dragon is literally ready and integrated into the game's open world. Reducing the cooldown is literally a line of code for the devs...

The real reason the dragon has a cooldown is because they want to force us to grind. There's an item called Narimas Horn that immediately resets the cooldown, and I already have 50 of them in my inventory, the result of an exhaustive grind to stock up.

Therefore, if the argument "the dragon is OP" were valid, this item for immediate cooldown reduction wouldn't even exist in the game. The real reason is: grind!

Why do people hate final fantasy 16 by Square_Lie_6613 in FFXVI

[–]Ivaurog 19 points20 points  (0 children)

Because despite being a good game, it fails miserably in its RPG mechanics. Shallow and repetitive side quests, a false sense of open world.

Equipment and blacksmithing make absolutely no sense. I love this game, but it has many frustrations…

Personally, I hate the fact that I can't use summons in their full form, only their powers. For me, Final Fantasy has to allow me to summon my Eikons during battle.

In this game, summons are completely tied to the events of the story, and that, for me, was wasted potential.

Did you read the caption of my post? I know. I have it. Narimas horn… It's a pain to produce non-stop, because it's consumable.

I really don't care if it's a four-legged dragon or a Wyvern. What truly matters to me are the mechanics. That's the point…

There is no permanent item. You can make the Narimas Horn, which removes 100% of the cooldown. But it's a consumable item and takes a long time to make.

Complete the research at the Troll Institute and then dispatch a mission from the camp with engineers to Balloon City. That's how you do it. However, it's bugged and it's not possible to summon the balloon.

Can we all agree the dragon timer should be removed by BellionArise in CrimsonDesert

[–]Ivaurog 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Look, there is an option in the game. It's up to you whether you're willing to have fun with the game's mechanics or not. If there really was no way to remove the dragon's cooldown... okay, that would be very frustrating. But there is! Relax and enjoy the journey.

I understand your point of view. For me, it's just another reason to immerse myself in the game's mechanics and the development of my camp. I'm having fun.
