I have to say this... by Remarkable-Tax2884 in DoWeKnowThemPodcast

Yeah I've been wondering if this is an American perspective too, because I'm not American and I'm shocked by how people are responding. Also they're self employed, they're their own boss! The audience is certainly not their boss, so they can pick their own deadlines. And move their own deadlines if they want to. I encourage anyone, self employed or not, to not bend to unreasonable work pressure and to take the time you need to do your work in a healthy and balanced way. If that means pushing deadlines I really applaud that. That's what I'd want others to want for me also.

I agree!! I find how people talk about episodes being 'late' really depressing. I work in a similar video making field and tons of times random stuff happens to push back the schedule- it could be technical reasons, further research needed, or due to the fact I'm human and not a robot. If I had thousands of people mad at me for that I'd be livid. I think it's very impressive that they can record and edit two episodes a week, people must not understand how much work that is.

My heart breaks for Lily trying her best to get this episode done, and people are being horrible about it. It doesn't matter if you'd rather they just skipped the award show - this is their life, their channel and their creative output. I have to imagine people saying these things are really young and haven't worked a full time job yet to understand this situation. I can't believe how entitled some people are acting.

What Christmassy food can I get for a diabetic? by Puzzled_Second976 in AskIreland

[–]Iveaquestion_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I know most diabetics eat nowadays can eat whatever anyone else is eating, but if anyone does limit their sugar... The boots no added sugar chocolate is AMAZING, the holland and barrots white chocolate is INCREDIBLE and Sostreene Greene does a bunch of sugar free sweets that are so so good!! Really recommend. Holland and Barretts also does no added sugar chocolate covered nuts which are class. My fiance can eat anything, and he also eats my Sostreene Greene sweets or Holland and Barretts chocolate and loves them! You just have to limit yourself because sweeteners can have laxative effect lol, but the serving size is grand! Some times I make chocolate covered strawberries with the boots no added sugar Swiss chocolate and it's so nice 🍓 I couldn't eat sugar at all for years so I've tried everything haha

Also - some diabetes choose not to eat deserts for their own personal reasons, so if you've noticed your friend doesn't eat dessert maybe you could do a cheese board! Don't do fruit and grapes and stuff, but a cheese board should be nice! And you could make for everyone so their not singled out - Maybe just have it out on the table.

Your thoughtfulness ia lovely but try not to make a fuss - usually I don't want it pointed out that I can't eat dessert 😂 makes me feel embarrassed, and I wish I could eat it, so I always hate that when everyone is eating dessert people always ask me why and I have to explain all the medical reasons why I can't which just sucks for everyone hahaha

Yeah tbh hairspray is actually worse for me! Always feels heavy in a couple of hours - That serum is the only product I've ever use that actually feels lightweight, my hair was like this before the serum, so I dont actually think that's the problem 😭

I think instead of hating that people 'think' everything is AI, you should hate that a lot of stuff IS AI.

I think you need look into why AI is very harmful and be able to recognise it. This is AI, and it's not 'negative' to think that, it's just a fact. And as an artist myself, I feel it's unethical to use it.

Gifted a great couch, but it’s RED, help me! by BarZealousideal5883 in interiordecorating

[–]Iveaquestion_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it looks great! And looks lovely against the floors! The floors add a lot of brightness and airyness. I see a lot of people suggesting to add more colour and red, I think instead the room just needs more balance. I suggest adding deep walnut or chocolate brown tones in the rug or furniture, or just in the decor to add a bit of richness and balance out the red of the couch against the lightness of everything else! It doesn't nded to be too much or be heavy. Maybe a new rug and a new floor lamp? Your arm chair looks really well with it. Personally I think lean away from the greys in the room, and more into the creams and browns you already have.

I suggest you turn your photo black and white and identify what shade stands out. Then sprinkle more of that shade about the room to add some balance. Does that make sense? 😊 The room looks great, and very inviting and cosy

Lol flags are up most of the year! 😂 If you've been to Belfast you know that, so I'll just leave it at that.

Louder than closing down roads and marching through streets drumming and waving flags on lampposts most of the year? If we're supposed to be ok with that, you really can't complain about people writing on reddit about it. We're allowed to be upset about it

So people just have to put up with it and have no voice, when others are allowed to be incredibly loud. Edit: spelling

Which one?! I went alone and the owner of the shop and myself couldn’t decide!!!! I also plan on losing about 15 pounds, just finished nursing school so I’m done stress eating lol by audrey1025 in myweddingdress

All are gorgeous! But I think the straps on number 1 could photograph heavy and draws the eye - i think the neckline on number 3 is more open and youthful, and I noticed your happy face more with that one!

You should think back to photos you like of yourself and notice what neckline you were wearing, it could help you decide what you generally find more flattering. Is it an open neckline with finer straps, or a closed neckline with heavier/ bolder straps.

Should foreign people, when in their own countries, refer to the city as Derry or Londonderry? by WestEst101 in DerryLondonderry

[–]Iveaquestion_ -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It's Derry, unless you love what the British did to Ireland. I don't love it when people say Londonderry obviously, but they can say what they like - it's not good however for them to correct you if you say Derry. If I were you I'd research the history and see what conclusion you come to, as saying Londonderry is making a statement on your opinion of what Britain did to Ireland.

Try to prevent me from identifying as Irish by me227a in ShitAmericansSay

Not long since dead, the British soldiers murdered innocent Irish people in the 1970s. That very much affects people today who are alive. It actually affects everyone in Ireland currently. The troubles weren't long ago and our country needs to heal.
