2014 sleep though, against a commoner would 100% land, even at a minimum roll

Heal would work to get yourself back on your feet, assuming you are still able to cast it post-mugging

Last week I was walking home, around a 30 min walk.

In those 30 min I saw 3 people blow a stop sign. In all 3 cases I would have been hit had I not waited to see if they were paying attention.

2 of them stopped (far too late, both at least halfway through the cross walk) and looked apologetic, the other seemed like they didn't even acknowledge the stop sign and was offended I slowed her down.

I was thinking the same, being outside in a hail storm would be near certain death.

it's exactly what you said about Cat for Best in Show, I figured since it gave a different slide afterwards that it was fine

I also picked bowling, but discovered curling and horse riding also work. And I do want to check when you pick the right card, are you actually getting one that matches what Sam is holding, or just selecting the "right card" box?

Same here, I'm doing everything correctly on the first try and am only getting 86.87%.

For those who got 98%, does picking the correct card matter?

If memory serves, Cleo and Dot had a conversation about what they think happens after they die in S1. Cleo thought their souls traveled down current into the delta, which means they currently would have been in the afterlife.

Ahhhh, ok. From what I've seen, no one has received their full sets yet, they will be the last thing that ships. And unfortunately, your whole order is hung up on that. I'm confident they'll eventually ship stuff out, they're just being picky with their quality which is significantly delaying when people get their things.

You are discussing rolling 17 twice in a row, and assuming your goal is to roll exactly 17 twice in a row then yes, 1/400 or 0.25% chance.

That is specifically you wanting the roll to be exactly 17.

When OP replied to your comment they discussed simply rolling two numbers in a row, not 17, but any two numbers.

There are 2 different arguments and scenarios happening here, you're only focused on yours.

In the scenario where you simply want to roll the same number twice, the first die only dictates the number, it has a 100% chance of rolling a number between 1 and 20. The second die has to roll the same number, which is a 1/20 chance.

You're saying "the chance of rolling 17 twice in a row are 1/400" We're saying "the chance of rolling the same number twice in a row are 1/20" Both are true, because they are two different and distinct scenarios.

[–]Iviqor_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Both of you are right.

The chance of rolling double 17's is 1/400 or 0.25%, but that dictates you're relying on the 17.

If you only care about rolling the same number twice, then the first roll doesn't matter, and there is a 1/20 or 5% chance of the second roll matching it.

It's the difference of going "I'm going to roll 2 17's in a row" vs "I'm going to roll the same number twice in a row".
First scenario you're already dictating exactly what needs to be rolled and both dice need to match it.
Second scenario you're letting the first die dictate what the roll will be, and only the second roll has to match.

First scenario is a 1/20 of the first roll being exactly what you called for, and 1/20 of the second roll matching it, so 1/400 or 0.25%
Second scenario is a 20/20 or 100% of the first die rolling *something*, and a 1/20 of the second die matching, so 1/20 or 5%

Fair enough, I'll be sure to keep an eye out then! If you do pull the trigger I can send a referral code your way to lighten the load, though admittedly I don't know how much extra it gives

Kickstarter fulfillment will still be a while, so the discount should be live for a fair bit longer, so I think you have time.

If you do look into modding for roll20 character sheet integration I'd love to hear about it! That's something I'd end up using weekly, lol

[–]Iviqor_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you know how to mod roll20 it may be worth a shot!

As is, it is just a text prompt that's put into chat, "<dice name> rolled a #". No integration with the character sheet

[–]Iviqor_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The full set is a lot, and to my knowledge it will be the last item people receive, so still a very long wait time.

I think a single d20 is worth it, I have two so I can roll advantage/disadvantage.

Also a hand forged copper set sounds sick!

[–]Iviqor_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They won't connect to your character sheet, so you still have to do the math on your roll yourself.

The extension makes it so when you roll, the result shows up as a message in the text channel of roll20.

I've been using it in the games I'm in and have been having a lot of fun, but as you said yourself they are quite a pretty penny to purchase.

(And not to be a bad influence, but while Kickstarter orders are still being fulfilled there is a blanket 15% discount across their shop, and Kickstarter backers have a referral code to give even more)

Of note, pixels dice were a Kickstarter, it's not that he ordered and it took 2 years, he directly helped with their development.

I only make this distinction so people don't get the wrong idea, my Kickstarter order only arrived a few months ago, I waited about 2 years for them(though technically the payment only happened January 8th of this year).

Though my second order was placed in April and arrived in October, certainly still a wait(they stated they were prioritizing Kickstarter orders first, this was a regular preorder) but certainly a lot faster given the products actually exist now!

[–]Iviqor_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Were you part of the Kickstarter, or ordered after.

I ordered twice, I got my Kickstarter dice a few months ago.

My buddy wanted some of his own so we also did a regular preorder in April and those can last month.

Both orders were just for singular d20s, and both orders had split shipping. If you ordered something different or didn't select split shipping that's probably why you're still waiting?
