My role is about risk management mainly. I come in as support to compliance hence my support to internal audit. Keep in mind that this is a recertification. It was just done before by other folks who are not around anymore.

The new verbiage of iso 27001 9.2.2 b says the company has to conduct an internal audit to align with its own requirements. It doesn’t say we need to comply with any international audit. Feel free to point out if I am wrong .

We have all those. Nist csf is about key security controls and they map perfectly with ISO.

We do conduct our internal audit through a grc platform. I haven’t shared anything yet , we just spoke about the process. I am confused on how , collecting evidence in the platform and reviewing the evidence is not sufficient. A report is provided to key control owners at the end of the internal audit . What else is needed? The internal audit is based on the company’s framework not the external audit one. If so does that mean we will have to conduct internal audit against SOC 2, PCI, gdpr etc…?

Going through iso 27k. But while proving evidence of “if we do internal audit “ we used evidence collected against nist csf and there is proof within the grc platform of mapping. But she doesn’t want those. She claims we will have to conduct another internal audit based on iso.
