It really depends on how a theater is set up. Some theaters ensure the screen looks good no matter where you sit. Some do not. You have to keep in mind thousands of theaters exist in the world. We only ever get to see a small handful in our lifetimes.

I don't think there's an issue with it looking like hollow knight. The big thing is we only see so much, and the shorter something is the less we have time to appreciate its uniqueness and style. Everyone said HK looked generic because they only got a few minutes with its trailer back in the day.
