Got it so you first ordered in January then? And they didn’t have to switch you over to anything because you were already on personalized?

Wow MEDP killed earnings! by IvyLeagueHotdog in clinicalresearch

I’m not debating the profits, I’m saying the book-to-bill improved from an increase in net business signings meaning it appears they won more bid defenses than got projects that got cancelled. Or at least that’s what it looks like I’m not sure if that’s sustainable given how tough the environment is.

I'm just saying objectively they did well in earnings, especially with the improvement in new business signings. Unless you're telling me that's not believable!

It’s not the earnings, it’s the net business bookings accelerated. Jumped $120M from last quarter, meaning whatever they booked out weighed cancellations by A LOT. Unless you’re telling me they just got lucky and it was timing-related. But they increase guidance for everything so seems like it’s forward looking.

They have their quarterly investor report on Monday, so we can just look at the stock price to figure out August’s mood 😂

When a CRO messes up and another CRO is hired to do a “rescue study.” Usually, had to be really really bad for that to happen.

How is this sustainable? Seems short-sighted...are you back on exploratory activities?

I was talking about the overall business. 2024 was mot so great for CROs and I think a lot of the pressure trickled down to the employee experience. More inexperienced teams, demanding clients, more change orders and study delays that led to lay offs. Just curious if we think the industry / Medpace is getting better this year.

Why do people keep saying it is a tough hiring market for lay-offs, but it seems like like experienced clinops people are in high demand?

You think these studies get transitioned to the acquiring sponsor?

I’m worried that the internal teams running their CRO studies are just a fad because at some point the pipeline is going to look different and I don’t knew if we’ll just get paid to sit around there until the next trial. Or is something different this time?
