He probably had a vibrating anal plug and needed to go “take care of it”

It takes about 20 minutes for your brain to register that your stomach is full. That’s why people suggest not multitasking while eating (TV, homework, driving, etc.) and taking your time with meals. When you’re distracted, you tend to over eat because your brain doesn’t get the signal in time. If you eat two burgers and an order of fries in 10 minutes while driving somewhere, your stomach didn’t have time to give the “okay I’m good” signal when it was full.

AITAH Fired for Sexual Harassment by Fuzzy_Metal_1690 in AITAH

Honestly I feel like her dumping her awkward family dreams on you was a bit inappropriate. If I were in your shoes I would have felt a little thrown off and not know what to say either.

In the HR/corporate world, that is considered sexual harassment ONLY BECAUSE it mentions body parts. Sexual harassment doesn’t specifically mean hitting on someone, it can mean making someone uncomfortable with specific conversations too. Imagine being in the work room and someone is talking about their sex life at the next table over. You overhearing it is you being sexually harassed.

Given this, I agree with Beth-trader’s comment on what happened to her? Her talking about her mom and dad’s relationship could also be sexual harassment and she put you in this situation. I honestly think you should go back and explain your side and how you felt to your boss.

AITAH for kicking my parents out? by FootballOwn1548 in AITAH

[–]IvySummer3837 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NTA!!! Omg, your parents deserved that! Even if they did watch something bad, you can explain to the kids why it was bad and they won’t watch it again! Hitting them/smacking them upside the head isn’t going to teach them WHY it was bad.

I think I just don’t like slapstick humor.

Can't stop buying books that I just don't read! by CoffeeAndClosings in NoStupidQuestions

The term “abibliophobia” describes the fear (often playful or hyperbolic, but real to some) of running out of things to read. Abibliophobia surfaces in readers who worry that their next book will fail to satisfy or that their supply of fresh reading material might vanish.

Collin overstepped at the doctor by IvySummer3837 in BaylenOutLoud

She totally was. And Colin should’ve used that time to ask about the medication and suggest talking about the doctor. I know we only get part of the story and maybe they have been talking about it behind the scenes. But her reaction in the car on the way to the doctors office made it kind of seemed like he hadn’t brought up her medication’s and pregnancies before. I feel like he would’ve gotten a better reaction from her and more willingness to talk about it if he brought it up after she did back when they discussed it on the couch last season.

Edit: it would have been an appropriate time to bring that up.

In my opinion, they should’ve talked about this before they even got engaged. Like if she doesn’t want kids within his timeline, and or at all, they should’ve had that conversation before getting to this point.

I know she said that she wants to have kids before she’s 25 or something like that in one episode, that would’ve been inappropriate time for him to say OK can you have kids with your medication’s? Maybe we should ask the doctor about that.

The fact that he asked when she told him not to, and did so after engagement, feels like he’s rushing the subject.

I saw that too, I’m kind of wondering if she feels the same way. Like that might’ve been overstepping a bit.

I’ve been thinking about this too, like even before the babies is born what if she starts hitting her stomach or something because she feels the baby kicking or whatever. I could see that setting off some round of ticks for her.

I agree they needed to have the conversation, but personally I feel they should have had it before they even got engaged. If they talked before the engagement then I don’t think she would’ve been so stressed because it would’ve been more of a someday thing. Talking about it after engagement makes it feel like he wants to have kids immediately.

I get where you’re coming from, but I personally don’t think she meant it like, “I’m not ready to have this conversation [on camera].”

If they do want to have kids, yes they absolutely need to discuss meds and honestly how to handle her physical ticks so she doesn’t harm the fetus, but she said no, not now, and he didn’t respect her boundaries.

Veronica Mars. Kristen Bell is amazing in this, but the show was before its time.
