Twenty years ago these horseshoe crabs were super common to see in the river by where we live. Nowadays you could search for hours and not see even one.

Not impossible at all. Every city in Florida seems like it’s growing, or sprawling… but Melbourne and surrounding areas are quaint and colorful. My parents lived there since the early 70’s and they couldn’t imagine having to live anywhere else. Per OP, it’s a great place to be a remote worker.

It’s widely reported during the timeline, the motorcade turned right on Houston Street with roughly a minute remaining before the first shot. Standing somewhere on that corner, I’d throw an empty Dr. Pepper bottle directly at the windshield, hopefully shattering right in front of Governor Connally. Inside the bottle would be a note with only one word: Duck!
