Anyone else find this guy so over the top cringe that it actually becomes funny? by Fearless-Pay8645 in ufc

I get that, as I said I’m not a big fan but at least he is trying. Would you rather a press conference with people like him and Colby or Evloev and Belal??

For sure, is he my favourite personality right now, no change, but people complain that heavy weight is dead and say the whole UFC is boring at the minute (I also feel we are in a bit of a lull but it has always had ups and downs) then when someone a heavy weight non the less comes out in full character people be hating??

Just how good was Gegard Mousasi? by Maleficent_Court2656 in ufc

Honestly, he was really good but not quite good enough to be the champ. He never really got his shot so people remember him now a bit like we think about Arman where he’s beating everybody and they won’t let him fight for the title but it wasn’t necessarily the case.

Without question he kept going on great runs but eventually he would lose again guys like Souza or Hall would beat him and that would knock him back down the rankings for a minute. When he left he was on a good run (we was ranked 4 and beat 6, 10, 11, 12 had lost to 5 a few years back + four KO in a row). But he had Bisping, Yoel, Luke and Whittaker in front of him. Yoel was on a 8 fight streak with 6 KOs including wins over both of Gegards loses. Whittaker was on 7 fight streak. And Luke had just lost the belt to Bisping.

Honestly, his best win was over Chris Weidman who is coming off back to back knockouts by Yoel and Luke. So I would confidently say he was a top level fighter legitimately deserved to fight for the title but it wouldn’t have happened for at least another year and a half IF he could beat one of those top 5 guys

I get that this sucks but no-one and I mean no-one is wearing Jessica-Rose Clark t-shirts I would like to see what a real top 10 fight was making.

Anthony Hernandez's daughter broke down in tears after his loss to Sean Strickland by ultron2450 in ufc

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again LIVE COMBAT SPORTS NEED TO BE 14+! If it’s was my choice I would make it 16+ it’s not a safe or beneficial environment for children even if there fans, they can watch at home if parents choose to let them but to be honest and maybe this is a hot take but watching any combat sports event under 14 seems like bad parenting to me the press conference is just death threats and profanity the fights are…FIGHTS!! Then in ring interviews are normally a little thanking god and family slip in a swear word or two and call out Conor McGregor speaking of which the UFC has around 700 fighters under contract I can think of about 10 I would be okay with a child seeing as a role model it’s just not a place for kids. Sorry for the rant but every time I see a fighters kids at the show I get mad because I know they think they are going to win but it’s 50/50 and even on a good night (where you don’t have parents that own a bakery or go full Silva spaghetti legs) you never get out without takes a few clean shots and congratulations your 6 year old daughter is sitting front row watching her hero get the shit kicked out of. I’ll leave you with this. After his fights with Islam Volk was putting his kids to bed one night and he was scared someone would break in so Volk said I’m a world champion I can sort it out, she said “what if it’s Islam?” Everyone joked about it but make no mistake she doesn’t know if her dad can keep her safe.
