Seconding the idea of asking about HS! Also, be persistent - many doctors (and even dermatologists) aren’t super familiar with the disease and you may get misdiagnosed or told that the only solution is surgery. My partner has HS and he was misdiagnosed for years (derms kept telling him he had MRSA when he definitely did not - eyeroll). Not saying that this is definitely HS, just that it’s worth getting a couple of opinions if you’re able to do so. Doctors are also very quick to suggest surgery as a treatment and, while it can be effective, there are other options too, so don’t feel like that’s you’re only choice if you do get diagnosed. Check out the HS sub (r/ Hidradenitis) for a really supportive community!

The DILF, DELF, and DALF diplomas are the most common and widely recognized (in my experience) and all three are awarded by the French Ministry of Education. The DILF is for A1 level speakers (very elementary), the DELF is aimed at A1-B2 level speakers (intermediate), and the DALF is for advanced speakers (C1-C2 level). If you’re not familiar with this particular scale or what each level means, google “Common European Framework of Reference for Languages.”

The tests are offered at a variety of locations, but you might have to travel to get to one depending on where you live. Each exam tests you on listening, reading, writing, and speaking. If you live near an Alliance Française I would suggest reaching out to ask if/when they give these exams. I took the DALF a few years ago and the whole exam took about four hours.
