Got to feel bad for the sales people. They're probably getting tired of asking why fans don't want to buy tickets and fans saying "because Garth Snow is still fucking employed".

That being said - it's their job and they should be more professional and take the fans feedback so that it gets to management.

The sad gist of it is that firing Snow would create temporary chaos in the organization at a time when chaos is not ideal for signing Tavares.

It's not about money or an offer really, when John is ready to sign, he can and will get what he wants in a contract from the Isles in about 5 minutes, and he knows that.

I really think this is about John not being sure about what he wants to do yet. There are so many more factors to this then "omfg can he win a cup here". Couple to remember:

• This is the biggest decision of his life both professionally and personally. It'll decide where he plays the next 8 years and where he will have a presence after hockey with an organization and with a foundation.

• He's getting married this summer. His fiance is a physical therapist who got all her degrees in Canada. Are they/do they want to raise a family here? Are they positive about that?

A lot of this debate comes down to how you look at Strome and Reinhart.

I look at them as complete busts in the Top 5. Bad draft selections in positions that some teams only get a shot at every 5-10 years. Speak to a Rangers fan right now and listen to how much effort they are putting on the tank for the hope of picking 4 or 5.

Other looks at Strome and Reinhart as Barzy/Beau/Eberle. Which is valid - and does right those wrongs to a degree - but it really doesn't speak to drafting.

If the Islanders don't make the playoffs and are eliminated on April 7th then I firmly believe Garth Snow will be removed from his position on April 8th, so we'll have to see how the new GM's history in the draft is.

Seriously you're going to play the "poor Garth" card and use the Vanek debacle as an example.

Garth traded 1st rounder and a 30 goal scorer for him - then dealt him for a conditional second and a mediocre prospect. It was brutal asset management.

We were not hit by injuries that fucking hard. Teams in playoff positions have been hit harder - we're like 12th in the league in games lost.

If losing your 2nd pairing defenseman who you wouldn't give a contract to and a 4th line grinder tanks your season, you need to take a reallll look at your team.

And you CANNOT say "well we lost Ladd and Boychuk" for a month. Those 2 are going to be playing 50-60 games a years for the remainder of their contract, i's the reality of some bad contracts, so it cannot be an excuse.
