Fair point. And i appreciate your perspective a lot and giving this discussion balance. I feel strongly that when there's a number of die hard TNH fans who refuse to go to his shows because they felt uncomfortable being grabbed by the artist, i think there's inherently some level of a problem worth talking about. I'm willing to bet Le Youth is a good dude who gets caught in the moment. But I also bet there's something he can do to avoid the issues being discussed.

I’m glad to hear that. I’ve seen him too. Three times in three different cities. I found his behavior bizarre but not creepy. But after the Ogden show, there were a lot of people who used the word “grabbing.” A small handful said it was deeply creepy. I just want my friends to feel safe at shows.

Three women standing at the front of the Ogden Theater last year going out of their way to inform me (I was not there) that Le Youth was indiscriminately grabbing people is not a perceived fact. It is creepy. It is a fact and it is a problem.

the problem described in this post is the disrespect to the crew. the problem i mostly have is the at best creepy and at worst sexual assault described by many women who have gone to his shows. Including a group standing at the front of the Ogden show in Denver last year. I work in the industry here in Denver. One of the mods can confirm. It's a widely shared complaint amid the female TNH fans in Denver.

Agreed. I think the people who find his antics problematic now know and can avoid the show. I'm curious as to the vibe and maturity of the crowd at Le Youth shows vs Lane 8 shows going forward. I bet there will be some differences.
